Lucas merely stared at her while Lillian went on her usual rants.
"You're always mean!" she began. "You never listen to reasonable advice! You're always walking around with that...that arrogant look. And look where it all got you! You were almost shot and your injury is worsening! If you keep on acting like this, I'll tell your girlfriend that you're not taking care of yourself."
Once I find out who it is, I'll tell her! Lillian swore to herself. If he was not going to listen to her, he would surely listen to a woman he loves, right?
Meanwhile, Lucas simply blinked as she kept on rambling.
"I know that you have a girlfriend," she claimed. "After all, you are a mafia leader. All mafia men have girlfriends. And I'm sure she cares a lot about you. So stop hurting yourself like this!"
She glared at him like an angry kitten, ignoring the fact that Lucas was more dangerous than a lion. Lucas, on the other hand, felt his nerve twitch. Was this girl crazy?
