This particular morning, three people, two men and a woman, could be seen walking in the same direction, they had just met a few moments ago and decided to walk together, apparently their destination was the same.
"I didn't expect Fred to be sent to you as representative of the Azure Cloud Sect, *sigh*, it seems all the elders of your sect are still as busy as ever."
At the mocking tone from the other party, the man named Fred just snorted and coldly replied:
"Hmph, I could say the same about you Clark, I thought you would be practicing with that sword of yours, didn't you say you wouldn't leave the sect until you made great progress in that technique? Or what? You've already mastered it?"
Hearing this, Clark only frowned and replied sincerely:
"Hahahaha, if I had already had some progress with that technique, I would not have need to come here, it is just that I reached a bottleneck in my cultivation, so I took the opportunity to go out for a walk and meet the future seeds of my lightning sword sect "
Hearing this, the man named Fred just snorted again before ignoring him, apparently he didn't get along very well with the man named Clark.
Clark did not seem to care about Fred's attitude, he only raised his shoulders in helplessness, before speaking again, this time directed towards the other person present.
"But I'm more interested in learning about the lady's background over there, which, if I'm not mistaken, must be an important member of the Burning Blood sect, right?"
The attitude of the lady present was indifferent, she wore a veil on her face, which made it difficult to know her appearance, but only by her gestures and physique, it could be said that she was a very beautiful lady, although her clothes did not do her much justice, could not hide the beauty that was itself.
Hearing Clark's words, she did not even turn to look at him, and in a monotonous and cold voice, she replied:
"I am only here to represent the position of my sect, nothing more, as for your so-called selection of disciples, I do not care at all."
Hearing this, not only was Clark surprised, Fred, who seemed not to care at all about this conversation was also startled, apparently neither of them expected that response from her.
Thus, Clark thought deeply about this, thinking about what the Burning Blood sect really had planned, after all, this anticipated selection was not without a reason, but it was precisely because of that that he was struck by that answer on her part.
Fred, on the other hand, could not suppress his curiosity and decided to ask directly:
"So, I can understand that your sect will not recruit any children from the Kubath village this time?"
Hearing this, even Clark put his smile aside, putting on a serious face, apparently the lady's response was of utmost importance to both of them.
For a moment, there was an awkward silence, the atmosphere suddenly became tense, the lady did not answer immediately, it seemed that she did not even think her answer, but she completely ignored the question.
This only made the already tense atmosphere go up a notch, inadvertently the 3 had stopped at once and parted ways, it seemed like a fight would break out at any moment.
Just as things were about to escalate even further, the lady let out a sigh, looked at the other 2 who looked like they were about to explode at any moment, and replied reluctantly.
"We will not actively recruit disciples from the village, I was ordered only to recruit young people who on their own initiative want to join our sect, although I do not know why, that was the order of the village chief, happy, fellow cultivators?"
Without waiting for her reactions, the lady continued walking, leaving behind the other 2 deep in thought of her.
After a moment, Fred turned to Clark and, in a serious tone, asked:
"Hey Clark, do you think what he said is true? Will he leave the good seedlings in the village just like that? You and I both know that the influence of our two sects in that village is greater than that of them, so practically his statement is like saying that he will not take any disciple."
Hearing this, Clark thought for a moment, suddenly, her expression changed, as if surprised with a great discovery, in the end she only sighed, before answering:
"You can count that what he said is true, the Burning blood Sect would not joke about it, furthermore, if what I suppose is true, then we can recruit disciples without worrying about it."
Fred, with a look of surprise and intrigue, asked:
"Why are you sure about it? Did you discover something?"
At this, Clark only smiled mysteriously as he narrowed his eyes, he remained silent for a moment before replying:
"Hehehe, have you heard of that talented disciple of the Burning Blood Sect's Grand Forgemaster?"
Hearing this, Fred thought a bit before answering:
"I heard something about it, she was very talented in the art of forging, so much so that she was sent to another county to further develop her skills, but something happened and in the end she returned to the sect again... wait, don't tell me lady that is THAT disciple."
Clark decided not to reply anymore as he moved quickly in the direction the lady left.
Seeing this, Fred snorted coldly before continuing his walk, some distance from Clark.
Soon, the 3 arrived at the Kubath village, where they were especially greeted by the village chief, who, upon seeing them, smiled from ear to ear with outstretched arms.
"Welcome seniors, we were already waiting for your arrival, please join me."
Both Fred and Clark were about to follow the old man, when the lady's voice rang coldly through her ears.
"Save the pretense, let's start the disciple selection at once, I don't have all day."
Hearing this, the village chief's smile froze, before looking helplessly towards the other 2 envoys, waiting for his opinion on the matter.
Both Clark and Fred looked at each other for a moment, before nodding in unison to the village chief, who quickly regained his smile and posture.
"In that case, please excuse the above inconveniences, the selection site has already been prepared and ready for use."
Thus, the trio of envoys and the village chief headed towards the northern part of the village, where, apparently, it would be the place where the selections would take place this year.
Abel had woken up early this morning and found himself sitting cross-legged on his bed, meditating to get into the optimal frame of mind, after all, today would mark a big page in his cultivation journey.
It was shortly after that Abel's aura disappeared, there seemed to be no trace of him, if it weren't for the fact that he could still be seen with the naked eye, it could easily be said that the room was empty.
"*Sigh*, I finally managed to reach the 2nd level of the divine concealment technique, with this, my success in entering the Burning Blood sect is almost a fact."
With a great sigh, Abel let go of his worries, he had devoted himself wholeheartedly to understanding the divine concealment technique of the void this past week, and it was only today that he managed to make a breakthrough in it.
"It was quite difficult for me, especially since it was more advisable to learn it when I reached the level of martial disciple, luckily for me, my understanding and the celestial qi helped in the process."
Techniques as special as the one Abel obtained from the library had certain restrictions on their understanding of his levels, in the case of his concealment technique, Abel had discovered long ago that he needed to be at the martial disciple stage to understand it.
But, fortunately for Abel, maybe it was because his physical body greatly surpassed that of a cultivator in the martial disciple stage or maybe because the celestial qi helped him, although it was difficult, it was not impossible for him to understand the 2nd stage of the concealment technique.
"With this, I can now use martial techniques without worrying about them noticing how special my qi is, plus, along with my physique, even an entry-level martial soldier shouldn't be a problem for me."
At this point, he was in better shape than his previous me who faced the lion, so his claim was not far-fetched, at least as long as his opponent wasn't a demon genius who could jump ranks like him, that would be the case.
"It's a shame though that because of spending my time on the concealment technique, I was only able to learn one martial technique out of the 3 I got from Elder Grant, *sigh*, forget it, it should be enough for now."
Thinking this way, Abel patted his face with both hands as he got out of bed, changed into a clean set of clothes, and placed the kangaroo diagonally on his back.
He also took his daggers and placed them in the sheaths that he had later bought at the trading house, placing them around his waist, giving him a heroic air.
"Well, the time has come, I must go to the village now, after all, they did not specify anything other than the day about the selection, so it is better to arrive early and prevent any incidents."
With this thought, Abel left the cabin and headed towards the village, by then, the sun had already risen and was rising over the horizon, along with Abel's expectations of his future.
