I kept doing Super Dash repeatedly, I went past too many trees to count, I already jumped a couple of rivers. I even found a canyon in which I almost fell.
But even after going at my best speed for 7 hours, I had yet to see a sign of the city… 'that old man didn't lie to me, right? I had to go South r-right?'
And finally, I saw the city after running 4 hours more. And yet, it took 1 hours more to get near the city. I had to take a little break and catch my breath, having stupidly high stamina was incredible. Anyway, I started to just walk around and still couldn't find any heroes.
But it was a rural area so I had to venture more into the city. I just couldn't find any heroes in the outskirts of the city.
So I went back to going at full speed until I saw a sign, apparently I reached Naruhata City. I arrived at a neighborhood that had a lot of old buildings and narrow streets. The smell of the city felt weirdly nostalgic, the smell of coffee and bus diesel… yup, that's the smell of an urban area.
There were still some people outside even though it was night, I thought that maybe I could ask for directions… but everyone was avoiding me...
I sort of understand their perspectives, if I saw a kid with long dirty hair, bright eyes, and scars across his limbs I wouldn't get near either.
'I could be a weird villain or a prank to them for what they know.'
The thing is, because of my dirty looks, I wanted to attract the attention of a hero so they would investigate me and find out who I am along with my special situation, but as I woke up late and couldn't come in daytime, everyone is wary of me as it's probably past midnight.
I started to jump from roof to roof just to find a hero, or be stopped by one. Both worked for me.
While wandering around I sensed what looked like the end of a fight in an alleyway?
"Tch! I will make sure to kick your ass tomorrow!" Said… the young man in middle school uniform? Who had some weird swords out of his wrists.
"Try if you can, you bastard!" Replied another young man in the same uniform with a weird device on his eyes, he looked like a cyclops.
'Well, I have to try with someone else if heroes don't appear.' I thought as I let myself fall in front of them from the roof.
*Wosh*
To them I appeared out of nowhere. I looked at both of them, and in turn they looked at me surprised.
When I was about to talk they screamed the moment they saw my eyes… and ran off…
'Do my eyes look intimidating in the dark?'
*Sigh~*
'Whatever…'
I kept jumping on the roofs. At this rate, I might have to wait for the sun to come up.
'I hope I can find my family or that they can find me at this point.'
Once I integrate into society I will finish reading that manga …. 'Somehow I got a bad feeling just now…nah whatever.' and also enjoy Middle School which I couldn't do in my past life as I was too self-centered at the time with my goal of attaining True Strength.
And I'm definitely gonna make friends this time… I will try at least.
"Hmm?"
I saw something interesting. I saw a young man with a weird jacket that had an American theme of sorts but the eye-catching jacket wasn't what got my attention, it was rather whatever he was doing... he was sliding on the floor in a position that looked like he wanted to get something under his bed… Anyway, he seemed nice as I saw him stop to give directions to a chubby middle-aged woman with dark green hair.
He may be a hero, just who else goes around at night helping strangers at a time like this? Although he kinda looks creepy in that position.
'But who am I to judge someone's looks right now?'
I approached the young man when he finished helping the middle-aged woman, with the hope that he wouldn't avoid me like the others.
"Are you a hero?"
"Huh? Wha-" He turned around to see who asked him, but he seemed shocked at my looks.
"N-no, I'm just… trying to be useful to society however I can." He replies with an embarrassed smile.
His words made me think for a moment about my Uncle…
'He was strong and did the right thing because he had the strength to do it, just as simple as that. But he never considered himself some kind of hero. Just a productive member of society…'
"That's a hero..." I said with a bit of a weird smile.
"T-thanks, but how can I help you? You asked if I was a hero, are you in trouble?"
"Ah! Right. Can you tell me where the police station is?"
"Sure."
He seemed like someone who goes with the flow, as he was nice enough to not question my looks and guided me to the police station, after thanking him I went inside.
"Hello!?" I asked in a somewhat loud voice so anyone at the entrance would notice me.
The old officer who had black hair and some wrinkles at the reception desk looked at me with a funny face, it seemed like I made his day… poor of him, my situation is kind of serious, if he laughs, he will be regretting it after finding out that I'm not in some cosplay. But actually, I haven't seen my family for 5 years.
But after throwing those thoughts at the back of my mind... I walked up to the desk, I could feel really nervous… I was really afraid of something specific.
'What if they are not alive anymore?'
But I repressed that fear and just asked.
"Can you find my family?"
The officer seemed to think of something, and suddenly he became serious.
'Does he have a quirk that lets him know if I'm playing or something?'
"Do you know their number?" He asked in a somewhat more serious tone.
"No," I answered.
"I see, can you tell me your parents names and yours?"
"Yes. My name is Shiro Takeshi, my Dad's Tsuchiya Takeshi and Mom's Ishimoto Takeshi."
Then the officer typed on the keyboard while looking at the monitor. His eyes widened after a few seconds, he then looked at me, then at the monitor… and at me again.
"Go to the waiting room, just stay for a few minutes." he said pointing at a room that was beside the desk.
I nodded and went in.

< Officer Minori POV >
A child came into the station, he looked a little funny with all the caveman-like cosplay. I found the situation amusing, that is until I heard his question. I could feel that he was truly lost, my quirk isn't anything to write home about.
Just a quirk that lets me discern people's moods, their anger, their loneliness, and happiness… that kid, he gave me the feeling that he might crumble on the spot.
It wasn't some type of mental manipulation nor an impostor trying to play a prank. He was in a real situation, my years of experience told me that much.
*Sigh~*
And his situation, he supposedly was reported missing, although he was considered dead 3 years ago… All those scars are real, there is no make up. This along with the few reports of the North area of the forest wildlife dwindling… It's not hard to connect the dots here.
I decided to call Detective Eizo Tanuma. I took the phone from my office and started the call.
*Ring*
*Ring*
"This bett-"
I interrupted him without letting him whine about interrupting his coffee time.
"The kidnapping cases in orphanages that stopped 3 years ago, there is a survivor," I said with a serious tone. I needed to be quick and direct.
There was a little silence after that.
"...You sure?" He questioned.
"The kid is right here in the waiting room. I will send you his file." I affirmed.
"I'll be there in a minute."
*Call Ended*
He ended the call after that.
I then compile all of the kids info and case. I sent it to Tanmua's email.
Now, how do I explain that his parents can't come at the moment…?
'Will he understand their situation?'

< Shiro Takashi (MC) >
I'm in the waiting room, nothing notable about it, it has some chairs close to the wall leaving a big space at the center of the room. I was seated on one of the chairs while dangling my feet.
For some reason, these few minutes in the waiting room felt incredibly agonizing. And somehow I felt fatigued...
'Is it my mind? I know for sure that my body has gotten a good rest before coming here.'
I was having some trouble differentiating my emotions for a while. I have never really had trouble with my emotions like this. I usually had good control over them as I always knew what I wanted to do, but now not being able to identify them was uncomfortable.
'The feelings that struck me before getting my memories, I feeling them again'
*Breath in*
'What would I do if they are gone…? Where will I go? What will happen to me…?'
'...'
'...'
'Keep going… I have fallen many times, I know that very well. I'm not perfect, but I Won't DARE TO STAY DOWN!'
'It's not about not feeling pain or ignoring despair, I will take those emotions. But I won't let them break me.'
I could almost hear my Uncle's voice, that rough and powerful tone of his… -DON'T LET YOUR WILL BE BROKEN BEFORE YOUR BODY!!! IF YOU CAN MOVE THEN YOU BETTER GET UP!!!-
*Breath out*
'Haha… he was a hell of a coach.'
While I was trying to calm down. The officer that I met at the front desk came in, he took a look at me before crouching down at my level and explaining what was going to happen.
"Shiro, your parents are away from home because of work, but they will come in a few days. Don't worry" He spoke with a soft voice, he wanted to see what reaction I would have at such news. But when he saw my relief he also gave a sigh.
'I was hoping that they would be alive while he was hoping that I wouldn't throw a tantrum…'
"So you will be staying here for the time until then, you will be getting clean clothes and food." He assured me about my stay at the police station. He also added. "We will also need you to answer some questions, do you think that you can do that?" He spoke seriously wanting to know if I would refuse.
"I'm fine with that" I answered with a little nod to which he smiled at.
'Good, since I forgot to ask first before calling Detective Tanuma…' The officer thought to himself with some relief...
"Good then, I get you clothes right now since there will be someone coming to ask you about your situation. Are you hungry?"
'Not really… but I haven't tried actual food for years so…'
"Just a little"
He nodded and went towards the door to leave, "Just wait here" and then left.
After a few minutes, he came in with plain black clothes, candies with some sugar bread, and some…. McDonald's still exists, huh.
Either way, the officer showed me the bathroom, one quick shower to get rid of the smell and dirt I picked up going through 2,000 miles of forest. After cleaning myself and wearing somewhat loose black clothes but I didn't put on any shoes, it just didn't feel right. The officer gave me a hair tie… I felt weird as I got used to always feeling my hair loose, so I made a ponytail while leaving some bangs on my face to hide my sCAry eYEs.
I was led to another room where employees eat. They had tables and fridges with everything, so I just sat down to enjoy a burger and some candies. I honestly didn't think that I would enjoy fast food that much, but I was wrong, it was delicious, I did add plants and other things to my food when I was in the wilderness, and yea it was good. But eating this was gourmet stuff compared to what I ate there, it was too good… did cooking improve that much in 200 years?
'Should've tried more of this stuff before, I will get more from now on. Since my digestive system is a lot better than before, anything with calories does the trick. The tastier the better.' I thought with a smile on my face.
I was melting on my seat… The officer winced at first as after I cleaned myself, he could clearly see my scars, but when he saw me enjoying the food a bit too much he looked a bit sad.
But I was too much into it so I didn't care about his gaze. I haven't eaten something good for 5 years, the 2 years at El Hoyo I was given something like rations, they were tasteless pretty much and on "special days" I was given the ones that had flavor, like grape or yogurt.
And even the time I spent there I did nothing but fight, so one could say that it counts as isolation since there was no actual human interaction.
After a few more minutes, someone else came into the room, a somewhat short man with black hair with a receding hairline, and a thin beard. He was wearing a black suit and a coat over it… One could easily tell he was a detective since he had some documents with him too.
The detective took a glance at me, then he mentioned the officer to come to him and talked with the officer for a while. Then the officer came to me. "Let's go Shiro, Detective Tanuma is gonna ask you a few questions. Follow me."
(A/N: I'm trying to make the story be seen through the MC with a few POVs of other characters here and there. But I think that I may be changing that a little, as you may notice, the entire fanfic may end up as a goddamn long monologue at one point if I keep going like this. I will try to make things more of a 3rd POV sometimes, sorry if the transitions between them are bad.)
