Chapter 2 - PART 2 - I DON'T WANT A MATCHING

Eve was in such a hurry up the stairs, she couldn't wait to meet her grandfather in his room. Arriving in front of the grandfather's room, Eve immediately opened the doorknob of the grandfather's room. Eve immediately shouted her grandfather's name, but Eve's enthusiasm turned to embarrassment.

Because there were a lot of guests from her colleague's room in her grandfather's room, Eve blushed and immediately lowered her voice. Soon a middle-aged woman stood up from her chair and walked over to Eve, who was frozen in front of the door.

"Evelina! You have grown into a very beautiful girl." Said the woman while gently stroking Eve's hair.

Eve was silent while trying to remember who the woman was and soon the grandfather got up from his seat and immediately told Eve who the woman was.

"Eve, do you remember Oma Mara? She was the one who taught us swimming when we went on vacation to Turkey." said the grandfather.

"Granny's Mara? Oh yes, I remember, so how are you? We haven't seen each other for more than 10 years."

"Yes, because Grandma is still living in Turkey. And only now is Grandma back in Russia."

"Eve, Grandma Mara didn't come alone. She came with her grandson, this is Louis." said the grandfather approached Eve while holding Louis' hand.

"Louis" the man held out his hand to Eve, while Eve immediately shook Louis' hand.

"Evelina."

"Beautiful name like the person, nice to meet you, Evelina."

Eve released her hand from Louis' grip, she felt less than happy if Louis held her hand for too long.

"I'm glad to have met you too."

"Eve, have a seat! You must be so tired you just came from Manhattan, here's a drink. Give them some time to chat with them." asked the grandfather.

"Good!"

Eve immediately sat down in her chair, she was very tired. But he had to obey his grandfather's request. Eve opened a bottle of mineral water and drank half of it, but Eve suddenly choked when she realized that Louis was watching her.

"Eve, are you okay?" asked the grandfather.

"I'm fine, just choking a little," Eve muttered, while Louis just smiled a little hearing Eve's words were so innocent.

After Eve felt better, the grandfather resumed his conversation. Eve was wide-eyed when she heard the intention of her grandfather who intended to set her up with Louis. Eve immediately opposed the grandfather's wishes, she did not want this matchmaking.

Because according to him this is very unfair, considering that Eve has been working hard to advance her company. Eve immediately left her grandfather's room, Eve was very angry. Because this time the grandfather was like a stranger to him.

Eve went straight into the room and lay down on the bed. His mind was made very chaotic because what he had planned in his life had to be destroyed in the hands of his grandfather.

"Why is Grandpa being so annoying," Eve mumbled softly.

Not long after, someone heard the sound of the door to his room is opened, the grandfather went straight into Eve's room. And asked why Eve was behaving like that, even though the grandfather's intentions were very good, he wanted his only granddaughter's life to be better and to have a mate.

"Eve..." called the grandfather.

Eve immediately got out of bed and sat next to her grandfather.

"If Grandpa came to see me just to talk about the matchmaking, I'm sorry! It's better if you get out of my room." Eve said.

The grandfather sighed. "Eve, don't talk to Grandpa like that! Grandpa just wants the best for your life."

Eve turned to her grandfather. "Best what do you mean Grandpa? If I have to marry a man I don't like at all. I won't be happy, won't Grandpa take pity on me?" Eve insisted.

"Eve, Louis is a good man. He can't be like that, Louis is Oma Mara's only grandson. Since childhood, he has been an orphan. Louis was educated well by Oma Mara, so Grandpa thinks Louis grew up to be a child good with Oma Mara's upbringing."

Eve sighed, she immediately buried her body into the pillow. Because Eve was dizzy to hear the ramblings of her grandfather who did not understand her feelings. The grandfather smiled a little, he immediately left Eve's room.

The grandfather returned to his room, to return to meet Mara and Louis. Mara immediately approached Dimitri who was none other than Grandpa Evelina.

"Dimitri, how is it? Does Evelina want to understand this matchmaking?" asked Mara curiously.

Dimitri sighed while shaking his head, returning to his seat. A look of disappointment appeared on Mara's face, even though she was already very enthusiastic about matching Eve with Louis.

"It's okay if Eve isn't ready for this matchmaking, Grandpa doesn't push her too hard. Poor Eve, I don't want Eve to feel pressured." Louis said quietly.

"But Lou..." Granny Mara's words were stifled when Louis cut her off.

"Grandma can't be like that, I know very well how it feels to be forced. So don't force someone's will, because there will be no happiness." Louis said quietly.

Louis's feelings were crushed when he found out that Eve didn't like him. Even though the first time he saw Eve's photo, Louis immediately fell in love at first sight. And hopes that Eve will accept him as her future husband, but unfortunately everything is beyond her expectations.

Louis is unable to conquer Eve's heart, he hopes that one day Eve will change and accept him as her future husband. Oma Mara rubbed his shoulder gently, Louis's thoughts were interrupted. There was a trace of disappointment on his grandma's face, Louis didn't want his grandma to feel disappointed.

"You are patient, Louis," Grandma said quietly.

Louis smiled a little. "It's okay Grandma! I understand Eve's feelings. I will wait for Eve until she opens her heart to me."

"Thank you, Louis! You've already understood Eve," said Dimitri who immediately got up from his seat and hugged Louis tightly.

"You're welcome Grandpa, I'm fine. Don't force Eve, let time tell."

"Okay, Louis! Grandpa understands, Grandpa will follow all your words."

Dimitri released his arms to Louis, after which Mara said goodbye to Dimitri to go home. Although a little disappointed, at least Mara was relieved that the granddaughter had plans to slowly approach Eve.

Meanwhile, Louis tries to devise a plan to approach Eve. He will not give up, he will fight for his love for Eve. Louis immediately drove his car, while it was elsewhere. Eve looked out on her balcony as Louis and Grandma Mara rushed out of the house.

This was like a nightmare for Eve because her grandfather had been so controlling her life. And not letting Eve choose her path in life.
