"JORG!", Lewis shouted to the lizardman, who quickly reacted and revealed his huge, towering enchanted shield.

His prompt reaction allowed Jack to survive the spear-like sting attack from the Steel Scorpion magical beast. The towering 2-meters-tall beast was an extraordinary foe, even if it was just a beginner rank magical beast. Its enormous size and defence made it very difficult to survive, much less defeat it.

However, Lewis knew very well how to defeat such creatures, and Jorg was its nemesis.

Steel Scorpion were very tough and very strong, but they lacked speed. This was part of the reason why Jack's head had not been blown off right off the bat, considering the creature's habit of taking out the weakest preys first.

Small shards of ice had already formed on its tail, which the scorpion tried to get rid off by swinging it with enormous force, causing wind to blow on every acolyte's face. Acolyte Raon, who had heard the enormous clash of steel, lost his composure for a moment.

Seeing this, Lewis sighed inwardly, but he never counted on him in the first place.

[Blood Arrow]

A small arrow made of pressurized blow condensed in front of Lewis, before proficiently hitting the Steel Scorpion's right eye.

*SPLASH*

Green blood spilled onto the tunnel's walls, and a shriek soon followed. The scorpion instantly changed targets from Jorg to Lewis, and tried to charge its way in. Unfortunately, Jorg was anything but weak, and despite the size and strength discrepancies between them, he held on to his shield, blocking the path of the monstruosity. The more the beast tried to get past Jorg, the more ice elemental particles gathered on its body, causing its agility to fall.

*SPLASH*

[Blood Arrow]

*SPLASH*

Now knowing Lewis' lethal spells, it had adapted and could now barely parry the arrows with its pincers. Still, the damage continued to pile on. Jack could only watch from the sidelines, while Golem Master Roan had seemingly lost all will to fight. It was a pity, considering that his golem could have eased Jorg's current struggles.

However, Jorg had not reached the realm of elite beginner rank acolyte by chance. He was a lizardman with unyielding will, and despite his bones breaking from the pressure of the blows, he continued to deflect the attacks proficiently.

[Blood Arrow]

*SPLASH*

With the fourth blood arrow hitting the Steel Scorpion's chest, one of its vital spots, Lewis gasped for air, before shouting:

"ORIANNA! NOW!"

[Acidic Breath]

Orianna did not hesitate before jumping in the air, and cast her innate spell. Her eyes glowed in a green shade, and a terrifying cloud of corrosive particles reached the Steel Scorpion's body. Jorg's left arm was hit but Jack quickly rushed to his side, pouring a [Hemostasis Potion] on the wound, preventing any blood loss and stabilizing the battered lizardman's condition.

The steel scorpion trembled slightly and tried to escape the acidic breath, but Lewis had not shot his fourth arrow randomly. It had hit a vital and exposed part of its most important organ: its magical core. Now exposed to one of the mightiest rank 0 spell, the steel scorpion eventually lost its strength and collapsed on the ground.

[Blood Arrow]

*SPLASH*

However, it was not yet dead. Lewis cast a fifth arrow, hitting its magical core and finishing the giant beast once for all.

Raon could not believe his eyes. He knew that the party protecting him was strong. He knew that Lewis was a competent leader...

But he never expected such a scene to happen right in front of his eyes.

It was not like they had never encountered magical beasts in the tunnels. Silver wolves were numerous and very hungry, thus targeting the few unlucky souls that passed. Every time, Lewis' party prevailed. This is how Roan had come to repect the boy.

However, he had never expected the steel scorpions to be so strong. As a golem master, he could easily evaluate the strength of tall, massive beings. However, if his clay golem was made to carry heavy loads, the steel scorpion seemed to have been made to destroy its enemies and survive any attacks. He could tell that his golem's clay skin was laughable in front of the Steel Scorpion's iron hide.

And yet...Despite the surprising strength of such a tall being, Lewis, Jorg and Orianna had managed to take down such a beast...
