The girl smiled wryly and shook her head as she replied.

From her expression, Arthur could tell that she clearly had zero intentions of speaking any further so he didn't bother asking.
But this little Q&A had made the mood turn sombre, so Arthur tried to brighten things up a bit.

"—Ascend the ranks and become top dog so you can order everyone around."

Rachel chuckled lightly when she saw the dumbfounded expression on Arthur's face, before proceeding to remind him of his actions during their dinner the day before.

As the boy scratched his head while he laughed, Rachel shook her head silently before gazing at the moon.
