"-MAL!!! HELP!!" the two friends yelled trying to stop the guards from getting inside.
It took Malin awhile to know that her friends were asking for her help, Ayana told them to stand besides Mal and walked to the door and opened, to find a group of guards collapsing in front of her.
They saw the questionable look on the princess face standing up quickly before they got in more trouble.
"-sorry for the bothering your highness, but these two sneaked in the castle when we didn't allow them to enter. They pretend to be the prince guards.
-well they are, and you better leave before I tell my father about that. Am I clear?
-Yes your highness sorry for bothering again." The guards left quickly before they got in more trouble.
"-that was a great acting princess."Mal commented and Ayana bowed to her as if she was performing on stage, and then burst laughing.
Ray and Ellie kept looking at each other but Mal cut their running thoughts and told them to sit next to her.
Ellie jumped on Mal making her groan in pain.
"-be careful, she was stabbed a while ago." Ayana clarified and the other two shouted in union:
"-What?!!" Mal smiled at them and comforted them.
"-how are you guys? I felt guilty for leaving you alone.
-nahhh it wasn't a big deal. To our good luck, Some of our friends were passing by and we could escape with them.
-we spent the night at the one of the houses in village, and I got my wound treated. So everything is fine."Ray finished telling the story and Mal finally felt at ease that her friends are safe and with her again.
Ayana cleared her throat earning the attention of the trio.
"-ohh guys by the way…Meet Ayana, princess Ayana.
-hey your highness, thanks for saving us earlier. I am Ray, it's nice to meet you. But I gotta admit; you are more beautiful than they said." Ray said earning an eye roll from the other two and a chuckle from Ayana at his strange behavior.
"-pleasure is mine Ray. Please, just call me by my name.
-hey Ayana, I am Ellie. Thanks for taking care of our friend and saving us from a big trouble." Ellie interrupted before Ray could flirt more with princess.
"-it's nothing really. I owe her a lot.
-don't think about, you are my friend and friends would sacrifice their lives for each other…by the way Ray how is your shoulder now?
-well… before we came here; we went to Andrew who told us that you paid him a visit. He was furious that he would curse us… Anyway, he healed my wound and gave me this small jar of cream to give to you. He said that you will probably get hurt because of that jerk… I mean the prince. And I guess he was right.
-Can I ask who is Andrew?" Ayana asked that Ray answered quickly:
"- He is a moody isolated witch, as known as mister' know it all', and by chance he tend to be our best friend. But he is a good guy…I think you should meet him one day."
"-Unless you want to start a civil-war."Malin mumbled under her breath and Ellie asked what's wrong but she told her it's nothing.
"-hey Ayana could you…"Kieran stopped at his spot looking at the unpredicted guests and cursed at his bad luck then said:
"-Ray, Ellie…Hey guys! It's good to see you…Alive.' He said the last part a bit irritated but it wasn't visible in his voice to not draw any suspicion.
"-It's good to see your highness safe." he nodded at Ray's statement and smiled back at Ellie.
"-Ayana would you come with me, I have to talk to you about something." Kier asked for the princess that she left the others, after excusing herself out.
"-hey Mal." Said Ellie gaining Mal's attention"-Where is Rosaline? I didn't saw her around." Mal starred at her hands before she answered with a sad tone:
"-she died.
"-What?" they both shouted shocked with the news then Mal told them the whole story.
"-I can't believe that she died on my bed." Ray said dramatically; earning burning glares from the girls.
"-so you went to your house before going to Andrew.
-yes…we needed some clothes and rest." Ray clarified for Malin.
"-by the way Malin look what I found." Ellie exclaimed with a happy face and Ray shook his head with annoyance.
Ellie brought from her pocket a red glass button that looked quite familiar.
"-it's pretty…Where did you find it?
-it was under Ray's bed.
-such an interesting hobby!... For a huntress." Ellie ignored Ray and sticked out her tongue at him.
"-Anyway, this type of buttons is rare to find, I guess I am lucky enough. It's only made for royalties, and I think it's specially made for the Nox family… Please don't tell Kieran." Mal chuckled at her friend innocence then asked:
"-can I keep it for a while with me?" The little girl was hesitant at first but she trusted her more than anything.
"-so how was travelling alone with the prince?" Ray asked smirking at his friend who shrugged her shoulders, then started telling their crazy journey…
"- and then the guard pushed him away and told him that he look like a pathetic bagger more than the lawful prince." They all burst laughing, but the door opened revealing Ayana and the prince with unreadable expression.
"-Mal we need to talk...…
