As the days are passing, I've been surfing about loads of affordable High schools on the internet. Gosh! Nowadays every school is so "posh". And generally, the to-be high schoolers have many expectations about the new slice of life they're going to taste in their high schools. In my case, having a boyfriend like Peter Kavinsky from the movie series "To all the boys" is all I can imagine. The shoulders as wide as the Pacific Ocean, tall, dark and handsome, and a good sense of humor – a total pack of everything I would want. Every high school drama has the same plot of the most famous guy of the school falling for an average girl who then suddenly turns out to look beautiful as the episodes go on. I wish those things were real in my life.
'Briiingg! Briiing!', the phone rang.
"Hello, Ryan this side."
"Oh hey! How come Mr. Ryan call me after ages"
"You are saying as if we don't talk. And whenever I call it's always the other person on the call right now who doesn't receive the call"
"Shut up! Now say why did you call"
"How are you doing? Are you busy?"
"Nah, nothing much. Something important?"
"Things are not working between us."
"Between you and Piya?"
"Yeah, everything between us has been very off lately. Though we've decided to go to the same high school I don't think things will last. Things always work out whenever I do as you say. Help me… she wants a break."
"Don't worry bro! Just give it a break. And Piya's a sweet girl and she understands you so there's nothing you need to worry about. Now go and send her some of her favorite songs and talk it out"
"Bro… I love you. Just open a life problem-solving bureau. I bet you'll have a great business."
"Ughh!! You're so overdramatic."
"Hahahaa! Yeah, so have you talked to your parents that you'll study in the same high school with me and Naman"
"Oh, about that. Not yet dude! I'm not yet sure where to study. Most probably my parents will not allow me to stay as a paying guest. So.."
"Whatever! We want you to come. We decided to rock there and become the three most wanted so now you cannot back off"
"Okay, chill. I'll see. Now bye, I have my tutor coming over so I gotta bath"
"Okay fine. Bye!"
The one on the phone call just back then was my first ever CRUSH. The first childhood crush is special for everyone and it wasn't an exception for me. He was the guy whom every girl from our class liked at least once. That cute, little guy used to wait for me near the entrance gate every morning to say that he'll sit with me in the class. And since we both were good in our studies, the teachers never changed our seats. Earlier I was a total introvert. I wouldn't talk to anyone except for my best friends but that too a very little. The teachers complained to my parents about me not talking in the class. I was a nerd (but cute-looking). The teachers loved me and I was an excelling student but was lacking in communication. Since I didn't talk much my parents were worried as they saw other classmates of mine roaming together, celebrating things and all the stuff. But after a while my transformation was disastrous. Now everyone knows me as the most talkative girl in the school with some mischievous activities. My teachers would complain about my best friend, Nainika, and me every time and would say that we were worse than the boys. Yet we weren't rascals though, we were pretty good at academics. Interesting fact! Nainika too liked Ryan. and she even broke him up with his girlfriend who was a very close friend of ours. But now we all know everything and we even make fun of ourselves. Ryan is a brother to all of us now( WE CRUSHED HIM INTO A BROTHER) and we both share everything among us. Piya, the one we were talking about on phone is Ryan's girlfriend and our classmate. When we were in the ninth standard, Ryan started liking her and he as always came up to me for help, and luckily, they got together. They're a couple of our class about whom no one knows except for Mihir and me.
My love life in school was null. I liked some of my seniors but I always got rejected (alas, I feel like a poor thing).
"Gooooo and bath you crap bag!!!"
"Whoaaaa…, I screamed."
"Oh god! When did you come?"
"Ma did not tell you that I was coming? Well, what's the use though? Since you're adopted it doesn't matter. HA HA HA"
"Oh please! All these adoption jokes are too lame and old as youu…"
"Oh as if.. you're just 3 years younger than me. Anyways, go check the bag I bought a t-shirt for you"
"What? Really? Okay…."
The house gets filled with loud noises, screams, and laughter as my sister came home. She visited us after her exams so a party was organized as her homecoming.
"Ma, can I invite my friends too?"
"Oh really, my "dear topper"? How can you even think of that? Do you think you are allowed to attend the whole party? You'll just greet the guests and go to study right after. Only come out when it's time for snacks and dinner."
"What? Are you serious, ma? How can you do this to me? Everyone's going to be enjoying the party why only me? There is still a month left for the finals."
"Ma, why does this crap bag always keep screaming here and there? An irritating voice interrupting my words."
"Can you just keep quiet, di? I want to be there."
"Just let her be there for two hours, ma. She'll get bored very soon and then herself will ask if she can go to her room."
"Really! Please ma…. Just for two hours?"
"Okay, fine. But you'll have to cope up those two hours later tonight after party."
"Accepted!!!"
