Kian's word lightens the environment and the awkwardness between them is gone. Both where enjoying each other's company and then again try to start conversation.
"jokes apart... but I'm really grateful to you. Thank you for saving my life doctor..." Kian applied extra force on word 'doctor' and move his hand slight towards her. He was trying to get her name but our dear Jade, she ignore all his words and gesture, and her focus was only on 'doctor'.
Before he could even bring his hand in front of her she exclaimed, "ohh no no no…. I'm not a doctor yet...… I'm still a medical student and there's still some time in my graduation."
Kian wanted her name and listening to her word a new trick strike in his head, he narrowed his eyes and said, "ohhh….. so it is like that..... but I guess, calling you 'medical student' every time would a bit wired, right Miss medical student." he had a smirk on his face.
Looking his expression Jade understood his intentions but this is our jade, whose 'built different' remember? she wont give you, what you want, easily.
"Trying to be witty with me? Let me show you, I'm not called sarcastic queen of my group for nothing"
Suddenly her bright smile turns to smirk, "no it's fine, we won't associate anymore anyway, so it's ok" she replied and then fold her hands and looked straight proudly.
"She really is not a easy woman. Her first impression is that of a careless and innocent princess but, try to over witty her, and you will know the queen, she is hiding under the cover of this silly princess." Thought kian in his mind and said, "Won't associate anymore?? But why?? Have I offended you by any mean ma'am?" said Kian with his puppy eyes.
Puppy eyes were his weapons from forever and anytime he use then, even the rock status may melt then what is human heart in front of them?? He was sure Jade would burst in laugh seeing his face but as I told before, jade is 'built different'.
She said with straight face, "it's not about offending, I just don't like associating with 'strangers'." There was especial focus on word stranger. And then she rolled her eyes and turned to other side.
Kian suddenly felt the sense of crises, this was the first time his puppy eyes didn't work and on top of it her eye roll at the end made him think he really don't want to associate anymore. "Till now we were being friendly but, have I really offended her? No, he wanted to keep her in his new life. She's the reason he got to live it. No, no, no, he should not let her go. She should be there, if not as a friend then at least as acquaintance." Thought kian and exclaimed at once, " I'm not just a stranger."
"ohh really...…. Then who are you" said Jade, still with a straight face. Although at surface she was being cold like snow but on inside only she knows how much she was enjoying the show. "trying to over wit me? What happen now?" she thought in mind and smirk.
Seeing her smirk, Kian got a hint that she's just pretending and he feel little relaxed and replied in witty way, "you are my lifesaver and I'm your first kiss."
Before, he thought of saying ' you are my lifesaver' only, but seeing her smirk, he changed his answer to 'you are my lifesaver and I'm your first kiss' and said about kiss because, now it was like a challenge for him and he want to see her face flushed with redness. Although it was CPR, but a kiss is a kiss and it can make any girl blush.
And his plan was fine, like any other girl, Jade should have start blushing, but this is our Jade we are talking about, instead of feeling shy and blushing she started laughing loudly, loud enough that everyone around her started staring her. She try to control her laugh but was unable to do so, so she started lowering her head as a way to apologies. Then she looked at Kian and his surprised look made situation even worse. She started laughing more. Table had turned around for Kian, he wanted to see her embarrass, on the contrary, her laugh indirectly embarrassed him.
"This girl.... She's really different" Kian was thinking this when Jade said controlling her laugh " you…. You…Really thought….. I… I'll.. get embarrassed… if you mention kiss? Hahahahaha and that also a CPR kiss?? Is that even considered a kiss??" and she continue laughing.
" This girl.... Can she read my mind?? Anyway I should not show her that this was exactly what I was planning. Or it will be consider as my defeat."
Not willing to lose, kian said, " I know you would laugh on my statement and that is why I said it. Now you can no longer pretend that you were offended."
"Try as much as you want. But I have already seen through you." Jade was still laughing but now she was a little more calm.
Then she saw Kian's defeated face and he looked so cute that she really could no longer pretend. " I'm Jade" she said….. still smile thinking about his remark.
Listening to her words, Kian also stared smiling. Although he was defeated but he in his heart he knows, he's the real winner.
"nice to be with you Jade, I'm kian." and both of them started laughing.
