" Why didn't she attack? What happened?" Nalan asked, immediately after they exited the barrier.
Xia jumped onto Yunxi's shoulder, still in invisible mode. She was actually the one who stopped Nalan from following after Yunxi, and also pulled her along when Yunxi gave the signal.
" She isn't my opponent. " Yunxi answered straightforwardly.
Hearing her reply, Nalan stared at her with a flabbergasted look and her eyes wide open .
" Not…your oppo…nenet ? " She stammered. The shock was too much for her to immediately get over.
" Ahh…" Yunxi sighed tiredly. She walked forward into the unknown land , leaving Nalan to her own devices.
Seeing Yunxi moving away, Nalan hurriedly walked up to her side. She was after all in the depths of the Underworld, otherwise known as Outside of the Safe Zone.
Her talent wasn't in the combat category, but that doesn't mean she couldn't defend herself. It was just wise to stick with someone, she was sure had the strength and power to roam a land such as this.
" As my partner, you should be able to know the underlying meaning behind my words, and the reasons for my actions, okay ? " Yunxi said after they had walked far away from the barrier. She didn't know whether her plan was going to buy them enough time to escape.
When those greedy wolves returned to her house, and met an empty space, they might actually come out to get her. In front of wealth and power, a little risk is worth it.
" Okay. " Nalan nodded her head in understanding.
" We are of the same level, and I used one of my skills which makes my opponent unable to move. "
Yunxi knew that if she didn't tell Nalan, she would not be able to let it off her mind. They were in a dangerous place, and she didn't want Nalan to be absent minded.
" Ohh…I get it now. " Nalan said. She beamed a smile at Yunxi, who just gave a slight nod in reply.
Honestly, Yunxi had actually done what she said. She just muttered an antidote to Cheng Rouyu to get the others awakened away from her , especially those who were after her family's properties.
Her elder sister had once saved Cheng Rouyu from a poison she had got when they were fighting back a beast whose main attack was poison. Cheng Rouyu was near death, and her sister just saved her out of goodwill.
The normal reaction from Cheng Rouyu to her sister was appreciation, right…?
But…it was entirely the opposite. She was angry and upset. She thought that her sister would tell the others and they would see her as weak. And her sister would always remember her for the favor she had done to her.
That was the flame of the eminity she had with her sister. Initially, she was jealous of her . But after that incident, she viewed Yunxi's sister as her nemesis.
Saying Antidote…Yunxi had actually made her assumption, real. She had always thought that there was something inside the antidote Yunxi's sister for her . And had been wary of her. She would never have thought it was a skill of Yunxi and not a parasite in her body.
Outside the barrier, the ground was cracked. And the air was stale. Everywhere was dark , like it was night. Well … the sun was absent, so the phenomenon was justified.
There was not a single plant in the ground. Everywhere looked like a dessert, but it wasn't a dessert. The ground wasn't the desert sand.
' System, why haven't we encountered any monster or beast ?'

Yunxi looked beside her to see Nalan, fighting hard to keep her eyes open. Xia had already slept.
They had been walking for hours now, and hadn't seen the end of the road. They just got back from raiding a dungeon, but haven't got ample time to relax.
Although their body healed after they leveled up , the accumulated fatigue had made them tired. Mentally, and physically, they needed rest.
" Let's camp here for a few hours, before continuing. "
Nalan nodded her head, and was quick to arrange her sleeping bag. Yunxi brought out her bigger tent, so that it would be spacious enough for them . They needed to stay together to avoid a severe accident, when an attack occurs.
Inside the tent, there were two sleeping bags. One bigger than the other. The bigger one was black colored, while the other was blue colored.
Obviously the bigger one belonged to Yunxi, while the smaller one was for Nalan.
Without further ado, Nalan had already entered and was already sleeping soundly, after lying down. She didn't even cover her body.
Yunxi shaked her head in amusement, and graciously pulled the blanket up to her neck.
Seeing Nalan sound asleep, Yunxi tucked herself to sleep with Xia in her arms. There were so many things that could keep Yunxi from sleeping, but she didn't let any thoughts into her head. She needed to sleep now, because what would happen next is unknown. She might not get the chance for a good rest soon.

" What …? You set up a sleeping tent in the middle of nowhere. Aren't you afraid of the monsters and beasts that roam this place? What if we were killed when we were sleeping, huh ?! "
That was the first thing Nalan said, after she woke up to find herself where she Is, now. Meanwhile, Yunxi had woken up before her , and had freshened up. Likewise Xia.
" Nothing happened, so stop worrying. Clean up , and eat . We need to continue on. "
Nalan stared at Yunxi, lost of words. She couldn't say anything, because Yunxi was right. But what if something had happened?! Yunxi's actions were dangerous.
Seeing that Yunxi wasn't going to answer her questions, she did what she was asked to do. She just brushed her teeth, and ate the dry biscuits she had packed along and drank some water.
Who knows whether the aroma of food would lure the beasts to their spot?! It was better not to joke with fire.
" Let's go. " Yunxi said.
Seeing that Nalan had eaten, and rested for a bit, she deemed it right to continue their journey. They were back to their top shape, and their stomachs were filled.
" Hmm. "

Nalan stood up , and they both got rid of their things. With the tent and sleeping bags in their inventory, they resumed their journey.
