A viltrumite survives the purge on viltrum and eventually takes a wife and has children with her only for them to die during the scourge virus pandemic the father/husband grieving his family's death wishes to join them but dose not wish to dishoner himself, wife and children with suicide sets out amongst the stars to die in combat only for it to allude him and grow stronger only to arrive on a planet whos species hasn't even conquered there own solar system yet.
( either he arrives before Nolan and settles on earth having failed to join his wife and children all these years or after Nolan ending up meeting him and dealing with what unfolds and possibly finding a reason to live again.)
