Kate was a small town girl born in a middle family. Her mother was housewife, taking care of Kate and her three siblings. Father was an employee in a small company.

"Kate, wake up! Get ready for the school. " Her mother said " today come directly home. Don't play football outside. That game is exclusively for the boys."

Kate yawned lying on her bed, then put her hands on her ears. She didn't want to listen her mother. It became her daily routine to listen all these stuffs in the morning as soon as she woke up. Every morning her mother used to warn her and every evening, Kate get scolded by her mother for disobeying her.

After having breakfast, she went for the school on her bicycle. She parked her bicycle in a corner and rushed to the classroom.

All her classmates were busy in gossiping. She went directly to last row and sat near a window of the classroom. Teacher came into the class. All students stood up and greeted him. He started teaching some paragraphs but Kate was looking out of the classroom through window. A bird outside picking something on the ground and then flew high above the sky, spreading its wings. "Wow! How much it would be exciting to fly in the sky! " she murmured. Number of birds, flying here and there. She almost lost there. Bell rang up for the break. Benny, one of her classmate gave her a light slap and said"Kate, come let's go in the ground." Both of them went outside.

There were many swings slides, rods for hanging upon, full of children. Some were playing games like hide and seek. Benny went on the slides and started sliding. A group of girls were arguing for the swings. Some boys were busy in playing cricket, running after ball. Kate sat on the bench and started gazing at the blue skies, looking for the birds. She wanted to fly with them high in the sky.

Kate was returning home, riding her bicycle. She saw some boys were playing football. She wanted to join them but suddenly her mother's warning flashed in her mind. She went straight to the home. Her mother was standing in front of her house, talking to a lady. Kate went there and greeted the lady.

"How are you Kate? How are you doing in your study? " She asked.

Kate simply replied her and came inside the house.

Suppression of her eager desire for playing football was resulting to cut off herself from the people, feeling frustration and repression.

Kate was helping her mother in the kitchen in preparing dinner. She was somewhere lost in the thought. After having dinner, everyone went to sleep.
