"Until Clara says you're completely healed." He glanced down at her stomach, "How are you feeling?"
"Numb." She pressed her palms flat down on her stomach and sighed, "I can't stay here."
"You should."
"Why?" She prodded, "Why should I stay?"
"If you remember what I told you last night, Eldith…"
"Is an arse." She finished the sentence for him, added her own. "I remember everything from last night. I told you I would, did I not?"
"You did." He smirked, pressing his tongue to his cheek, "I see."
"Yeah…" She trailed off, falling into silence.
Death tapped his thumb on his knee, "Join me for breakfast." He said when he stood but Amber shook her head.
"I'm not really hungry." She frowned upon the thought of eating when she only focused on how she was supposed to possibly defeat Eldrith.
"But you do need to eat. That's the only way to have a fast recovery."
