She believes that if something can't break you then it makes you. It makes you stronger and more powerful than before. Thus, she loves to suffer.
Saheed also realized that he was acting out of character. So, he also controlled and calmed himself down. While Kia tried her best to stay awake and get settled in her chair, rather than just falling on the table again and again.
