How the hell did I end up here?
Here I was in a dimmed lit room with barely anything to see expect the man surrounding me. My hands were tied with rope as soon as I came into the room because the boy could not stand seeing his mommy being abused. The only cute one here.
In front of me sat a handsome brooding man. But he was no regular man. No. No. This man was Colton Ivar leader of the Dragon Mafia Clan. Rumors had been that he was so fine, no woman could resist. That he had an unless supply of them. There were also rumors of his wife. I wondered what happened? Gawking across me with cold blue eyes that wanted to put a bullet in my head for I guess coming here and wasting his time. A vein protuded from his neck, cracking his knuckles in attempts to make me scared. But that was not ever going to happen. My instinct kicked in. I stared back with the same intention. I was no rookie. I was once the head of the most famous clan. But that was long in the pass.
But how the hell did I end up here! I was trying to solve my life problems. Not add more.
2 hours earlier
I decided to stroll the park to clear my head. After founding out mom's medical expenses just keep adding up and the doctors wouldn't help if we didn't at least pay half. I sighed running my hair through my fingers. Shit. I also had to pay the apartment rent. On top of I wasn't getting paid until the end of the month, but even than mom needed to treatments now.
Ugh.
How did I get into this mess?
Oh right!
I decided to left the Lion Mafia Clan as its leader, and decided to live a normal life with my mother. Yes, I Lydia Thornton was the ex- leader, heir, and daughter to the Lion Mafia Clan. Born and raised in the most powerful mafia clan. With privileges and elite surroundings I never had to worry about a thing. Never giving second thought about anything. I had everything money, cars, makeup, designer clothes, owned clubs, houses. Everything and anything you dream of I had. But not everything that shines gold is. Being that I had everything came with a price. My father Lucien Thornton was not always a kind man, ensuring that the lineage would continue he made sure first above everything else.
My childhood was not normal. I was taken away from my mother at birth deeming that she was just a regular secretary, my father did not want to involve her into this life. But took no hesitation towards his daughter. He raised me to be a killer, an assassin with no feelings. A harden heart just like his. And the blood of many spilled on my bare hands. I never went to school. I never played with children my age. Nor did I do all the normal innocence things a child should. Atlas what could you expect from a mafia's boss child. I was the heir. All the members protected them with their own lives,as their own blood. In turned I did as well.
Not all memories were bad. My uncles and aunts were all soldiers, capos took care of me raising me, cooking my favorite foods, and even covering up when even I would seek out. But all of that could not erase but my future. I had come the Boss at 18 when my father announced it at my 18th birthday celebration. It was a shock to me. I thought I had a few more years until then.
I had to take care of everyone, yet see the gruesome reality of our world. How we protected ourselves and sacrificed others. It all became too much. So I left without a word, without a track. I tracked down my mother finding her still working. Tears slipped out of our eyes as we first lay sight once another. I locked all of my information, creating a new ID. A new life. I was no longer Lydia Thornton head of the Lion Clan, but Karia Lansley. A normal citizen, a nobody.
Initially knowing I was leaving I had left with two million dollars cash, but with my mother's condition I had paid off debt and her medical bills. Leaving us basically with only a percent left of money. Which didn't cover anything.
I mean I should have expected this as a normal citizen. Though I thought it was enough for basically living.
Of course, normal I would spend that in a day. Sometimes. I'm stupid.
So Stupid.
I exasperatedly sighed wishing the solution would just befall on me. I trailed along the pathway eyes locked on the sun as its heat would be the only thing keeping me warm tonight. Quickly, taken out of my thoughts as something striked me hard and fast. Feeling like a ton. My reflexes didn't kick in and I stumbled to the ground. Looking down it was a cute adorable child nesting in my arms.
He shrieked, " Mommy! I found you!"
My eyes went wide. Mommy? Was this kid lost? I spoke," Who are you?"
" Mommy please don't go." He said meekly as he peeked up his tiny head revealing beautiful ocean eyes. More pretty than my bland hazel ones. Damn I'm jealous.
" I'm sorry child but I think your confused I'm not your mommy. " I said ever recalling if I could have possibly given birth but odds were extremely impossible as I hadn't been intimate with anyone yet.
" Mommy, I promise I won't be bad. I'll be a good boy. I promise." He insisted clenching onto my jacket tighter. Aw, he seemed so cute. My heart tightened. I wanted too. But his parents were probably looking for him.
Clanking and the sound of a gun trigger pulled me out of thought. I knew the sound of such things. Gazing up I was surrounded by mafia members holding their weapons at her." Let go of the young sir, now!"
"How many are there? Ten, no eight. " My eyes scattered all around. " It's possible I can get out. I just have to give the kid back. But is he safe with them?"
" Fucking hello!!!! We said give the kid back or we'll blow your brains out!" Another man yelled harshly.
" Shit! I have to act fast." I thought as sweat dropped from my head.
Suddenly a strong force clanged onto me. Again looking down the boy clung onto me with tears down his face. " No. No. Don't hurt mommy!!!" He screamed with the brute force of his tiny lungs as all the men widened their eyes.
A more composed gentleman with glasses walked forced stopping inches away. Looking down at the next heir nestling in a strange bosom. He squatted down as he spoke in a soft caring voice.
" Milo, we have to go your father is waiting for us."
Milo shook his head repeatedly as he fingers rubbed his eyes, " No, you will hurt Mom, then."
The man gave out a long sigh, " Fine, we'll just have to call your father." He informed as pulled out his phone and quickly dialed.
Who the fuck was his father?
Why are they so many men?
Shit don't tell me.....
" Hello." Lydia heard the deep voice of the receiver.
" Yes, sir. We have Milo with us, and he is clinging onto a stranger woman."
" Kill her then." The voice ominously commanded. My eyes widened slightly. What kill me! I'm just a bypasser, even I wouldn't do that.
" Sir I'm afraid we can't. Milo insist that we will hurt her and that she is his mother."
For a moment the other side went completely dead. No sound. No tracking. " Sir?"
" Alright, bring her in." He instructed as he hung up the phone, as the man in glasses gave other sigh. Standing up, dusting himself off.
"The boss gave clear instructions." The man voiced tilting his glasses up. " Bring her in."
My heart dropped. No. No. I could not would not get involved again. Two men came forward pushing me to stand up as I held the boy. I began to kick them as one fell to the floor.
Ugh!
" You really shouldn't have done that, woman!" Another man began walking forward as the one in glass placed a hand on his chest.
Looking at the man and at the others. He was the consigilere. The right hand man. I was sure of it. Most of them were calm and composed. Thinking with their heads, instead of acting rash. " Master Milo is with her. You cannot harm her unless you touch him." He then turned to me as I gulped, " Miss, please enter the car and there would be no far physical alteration."
He sounded sincere. But he was a mafia member. Not exactly trust worthy. Though I don't have a choice. " You promise, to not let your men touch me?" I asked looking into his eyes.
He nodded.
I need insurance, " Tell your men to step down then." I commanded I knew very well the men would have to since they are bonded to their word by ranking. Even if they wanted to they couldn't.
He rubbed his forehead looking back at his men and back at me. My gazed sparked with fire. I was not going to give up. " Fine." He gave in as my heart relaxed. " Step down all of you." He commanded as they hesitantly debated.
" Thomas are you-" He was interrupted by four eyes.
" Just do it!" He hissed as he took his glasses off looking quiet handsome. I cannot even deny that. Damn, Lydia what are thinking. You getting kidnapped. They slowly but surely put their guns away.
Placing his glassing back on he walked over and opened the back door of the car, " Miss, just please..get in." He pleaded as I turned to him. I could see in his face he didn't want to do this, but had to . There was no way he was going to disobey his boss for me. And I didn't want anymore trouble.
So I just walked forward and climbed into the car. He sat beside me closing the door as another man bulkier sat on the other sided. I felt quiet squished between the two. Awaiting for the driver.
Then I felt a light breath on my chest. I looked down to see the boy sound asleep. I couldn't help but smile. At least he was safe. Although I might die, I could may figure out a way to live. What if I seduced that father?
Nah.
I'm not experienced. So let me not flirt terribly.
I'll find a way. As long as my mom needed me I wasn't going to die.
" Hey, that's the first time I seen the master sleep so peacefully in someone's arms." The man on my right spoke up. Taking me out of my thoughts I turned my head to him.
" Really?" I asked.
" Yeah. He doesn't like people to touch him. Nevertheless sleep on them." He revealed as he furrowed his brow. " I kinda feel offended. You know I'm his uncle and he never seems to want to be in my arms." He said childish.
I smiled at his odd behavior. Regardless of being mafia members they were still family. It kinda reminded me of my uncle Tito.
" What about his mother?" I asked as his eyes widened and he began to stammer.
" Well you see.. um..."
He was cut off by Thomas, " That's enough Robertson." Robertson nodded closing his mouth immediately and looking out the window as the driver finally started the car.
Touchy subject,I guess.
I didn't speak a word again for the rest of the drive.
And that was two hours ago. Now I'm here facing this tyrant.
