This chapter illustrates the day the author was born and the happenings on the event as the author's mother was highly pregnant when she had to go to the highest court of law where her husband was to be sentenced to death and charged with treason ,it is when the magistrate realised that this particular man had a young wife who was heavily pregnant on that day as he asked for the accused to plead with the high court .And the accused explained that he was about to be blessed with a baby and the mother of the child was asked to stand up as she could not Harold sit up strait due to all the complications of being pregnant ,when th magistrate saw all that he had compassion and released the accused on a verbal warning and on that evening the child was born and she was named Phumza which is a xhosa name meaning" rest "as the years went by the child growing in the hands of different caretakers whilst the parent were struggling to make ends meet the father eventually crossed the border to Zambia running away fro the apartheid regime as hehad sworn to fight the laws with his sweat and blood ,he walked to botswana with a friend when he recalled the walk took them 4 full days without food and water .and today that story has never been told .
