Dan's POV
"Where the hell is she?" I said to Jasper who came to open the car door immediately I got to the office compound.
"She's at the reception sir." He answered, while Jena stood beside him in fear.
I moved towards the reception and they both followed behind my back.
"Where is she?" I asked, as a familiar voice answered "I'm here."
I was so surprised when I turned back. She was the one.
"Hii!" She said in a mockery tone.
It was no one other than Nora Jonathan, my annoying cousin. She's just one of those set of people that only grows with age and not brain. That's the reason she's not married till now😒. At the end of the day beauty is not everything 🙂.
She and my aunt travelled to Australia about a year ago for a program, seeing her in town, meant my auntie was back, it's enough she disturbs me every Friday over the phone with marriage issue , now she will disturb me every minute.
"You coulda just come to me at home directly." I said to her with my usual tone.
"I just arrived and since it was working hours I decided to stop by to see you here." She said.
"I'll be leaving now, make your choice." I said as I made to walk out of the office, and something bumped into my head.
Jena might not know her, due to the fact she was employed after they had travelled, but Jasper?
"I'll meet you at home." Nora answered and she left.
"Meet me in my office." I said to Jasper.
Jasper's POV
Fuck! The boss already realized I played a prank on him. Nora and I were close due to the fact we supported get same soccer club, she came early this morning around about 8-8:30 and asked for the boss.
I explained to her he was not around, and she brought up this crazy idea I had to agree with. Now this crazy idea might ruin my life and career at this point.
"Yes sir!" I answered as I followed him with finger crossed to his office.
"I'm here sir." I said as we got to the office even if I knew he was quite aware I was at his back all this while. He sat on his chair, and offered me a seat.
"I only have one question to ask you." He started
"Yes sir " I answered with a fear written all over my face. I was obviously shivering.
"You know my sister right?" He started
"Yes sir." I answered.
"Then why the hell did you pull such prank?" He yelled as he banged the table hard with his hand.
"I..hmmmmm...sir...I...." Was all I could blab.
"Speak real words, would you?" He said.
"I was damn busy and you made rush in haste for a prank, does this place look like a game center or children park?" He continued, all I could say was "I'm sorry sir."
"Sorry? What if I was involved in an accident?" He continued.
Let's be real, I kinda prefer him in his usual mood, he's said over 100 words right now and it's really tensing😰.
"I'm sorry sir!"
"I'd be leaving now." He said as he stood up and I immediately got on my feet.
"Don't let this ever repeat itself or else." He said as he walked out and I immediately left his office.
Dan's POV
I could have just fired him, but I remembered his relationship with Jena which I'm pretty sure of. He should thank his stars, he sinned.
I left the office and headed for trouble, my aunt.
I'm pretty sure she's gonna call Nora and I this night to discuss about marriage 😒, trust me I don't enjoy them living with me, but she's like a mother to me and they only come here once in a while, she said she wants to spend her last days on earth travelling from one country or state to another. She said that about five years ago, I hate it when she keeps repeating this last day shit. How can you tag close to 2000 days as last?
I got home soon, and I realized she was there already. None of my check cooked chicken soup better than she does. This soup joins our family together. The aroma was damn awesome, it even smelt better.
"Aunt!" I said as I dropped my bag on the sofa and headed for the kitchen where she was working her magic.
"Buttler!" She said as she gave me a warm hug.
"Aunt I think I'm too old for this name." I said to her as I pulled out of the tight hug.
So imma reintroduce myself to y'all Daniel Buttler Johnson. Don't you dare laugh😤, I wonder what my parents were thinking when they gave me that name. Of all middle names BUTTLER 🙂👏.
I can remember when I was still in middle school, I went by the name Daniel B. Johnson, I kept this embarrassing name a secret, so funny story so I had this big presentation that was coming up 8:30am, and unfortunately I woke up so late. So I forgot my lunch bag while rushing, and since I was such a picky child, I could not buy food from the canteen the only thing I could snack on was an apple my friend Gideon gave me.
So here comes the embarrassing part. So my aunt and mom (may her soul rest in perfect peace🕊️) came to my school, saw the principal and asked the principal to call my attention cuz they had an "important message" to pass through. And my principal went all "Buttler your attention is needed at the principal office."
When I heard it I was happy that someone else went by my middle name, the canteen was filled with crazy laughter and I joined too. Those who were standing found a seat in time to avoid being suspected of having such a name.
"Daniel Butler Johnson your attention is needed." The principal said. And all the people on the table I sat on looked at me, "so that's what the b stands for?" Gideon cooed.
At the point, almost everyone knew it was me I stood up and left the canteen that was filled with laughter. I thought just like all other cases like mine, the embarrassment would die soon, but just as it's about to die someone brings it on and it kept on like that.
"Oh really?" She asked as she turned back to what she was doing.
I immediately understood where she was heading to
"How old are you, if I may ask?" She started
"38." I answered as I took a bowl and brought it to her, to serve me a little.
I've gotten myself into a long boring discussion, I needed a delicious distraction, and the soup is a great one.
"So you know you ain't young." She said as I nodded positively.
"Then why do you keep acting like a 20 year old boy, who's just new to the world?" She asked in a rising tone.
"I haven't found a girl." I answered.
"Really? Hmmmmm tell me which one you've given a chance." This time she stopped what she was doing and took a seat on one of the high stools.
Mehn imma have my lunch and dinner in this conversation, what have I gotten myself into.
"Aunt, I've told you severally. Most of these girls you see are all bitches. They just after my money, and you know just like the bible says money is the root of all evil, and you explained it's meaning to us, it's the love of money." I tried using her word to my advantage, for a minute I thought it worked coz she smiled, then she said "Oh really, the bible also said fornication is a huge sin, and a drunk man is a fool. And I can remember serveral times I'd warned against them. Why ain't you following them pastor?" My face went numb completely.
Okay so I just got myself into deeper trouble.
So this conversation went on for about two hours, Nora finally came back. We had dinner, discussed a little, aunt forced us to pray together and she kept mentioning to God to show us the gift of salvation. Then it was a good night.
The next two weeks went with the same nagging and annoying discussions, I wonder why she's even staying this long.
Then on a Thursday, I was in the office enjoying a great blowjob from Jena, yeah yeah I was horny so no choice. I received a call from home, my aunt said there was someone, specifically a lady waiting for me.
She seemed so happy about it, and she asked me to come home as soon as possible.
Who the hell is this lady?
