After leaving Ratil's chamber,Kanibora went to the athenaeum of nirvana. The athenaeum is where all the truth and knowledge from the beginning to the end are kept. The athenaeum doesn't have an in-charge. Anyone is free to go in there. It's a palace in the winds where the books are kept.
The hall room had the space of the entire earth. The end of the room couldn't be seen. The ceiling was covered in glass mosaic through which, a never ending light was coming.
Kanibora went straight to the section of worldly creatures. It had millions of book. It took some time for her to find out the book of ancient creatures. The book was green in cover with an outline of golden and black. It was more heavy compared to its thickness.
Kanibora started to turn the pages to find something about the beast. The book was divided in sections. It started with dragons, then mammals, birds, .....and then came to serpents. Kanibora stopped to concentrate at this part. She turned the pages with her flexible fingers but they only contained descriptions about normal creatures like snakes. She kept on turning the pages if she could find something.
Even after searching for a while, she found nothing. She closed the book and put it on the table. She thought about where she could find more informations. That's when she was reminded of the high priestess. She was the only one who could tell her about the creature aside from the athenaeum.
Kanibora proceeded to go to the high priestess. She was passing through the history section that contained the autobiography of all the powerful gods and goddesses. She wasn't interested in those. She was just about to cross the section when the title of a book caught her attention. It said," Dominating From Ashes: Daritas"
" Dominating from ashes? My father??" , She thought. It made her curious.
She took the book out and started going through the pages. Her eyes swiftly moving from line to lines. She skipped the introduction since it wasn't something she was interested in. Her eyes stopped at a new chapter.
" The rescuer of the earth," the title said.
That chapter described how Daritas went to the Tahaku village and saved them from the drought.
It follows something like this," When the people became sinners and the Tahaku was filled with Ardhana's rage, Goddess Xarit shared same feelings towards his resentment and prevented any rainfall in Tahaku. Demigod Daritas, who was assigned to be the protector of Levora, left his place and came to rescue the people of Tahaku. He challenged Xarit while his own power peaked, defeating her with all his might. At the end, Xarit agreed to make it rain again and the people of the village were saved. "
She read it in her own way. But she knew the story anyway. She turned some pages and went to the end. She stopped at a page which said," The curse of Daritas"
This made her interested. The chapter summerized," After saving the Tahaku village, the villagers sins were yet to be washed away. Daritas created a beast never seen before and sealed the people's sins within it. He then dominated it within the mountain that laid beside."
A sharp current went through her veins. She knew where to look for the creature. She quickly kept the book to where it was and went back to her table. The book of ancient creatures was still there. She went to the last chapter.
" Evil creatures born from the gods." ,it said.
At that chapter , the first beast she saw was the one they encountered at Tirana. The beast had no name. No one must have never felt any necessity to name it. Under it's picture, laid it's history, the same history she read a while ago.
At the end there was a stated way to kill it.
Kanibora got excited for a bit, but soon, all her hopes were lost.
It said," It can only be killed the same way it was created."
Kanibora didn't know how it was created. Only Daritas knew. And even if she knew, she would need immense power similar to her father to kill it. Kanibora knew it was impossible.
She put the book in its place and decided to meet the high priestess.
The high priestess resided in the central temple. She was the only one who held almost same amount of power as Ardhana. All the others were inferior to them. She knew the past. She knew where it all began. She knew the future. She was the all knowing eye of the gods. Her kindness was also equivalent to her powers.
Entering the temple, Kanibora found the high priestess to be meditating with her eyes closed sitting on her throne.
She was careful not to disturb her and silently went to sit beside her. In the whole nirvana, the high priestess was the only mother figure to her. She was even more dear to her than her own father.
" It's been long since I saw you last, my dear," high priestess said while keeping her eyes closed.
" My apologies for disturbing you , high priestess.", Kanibora lowered her head.
" Keep your head high, my dear. I know what you seek from me.",said the high priestess.
" I seek your help. I don't know where to go.", replied Kanibora.
"The beast that have offended you, your father was the one who created it. But you may not find the solution if you find around aimlessly. You won't find it if you ask Daritas too. "
"Then, how do I kill it?", Asked kanibora in concern.
" You will find out when the time comes, my dear. Before that, you must know the truth behind the rise of Daritas. "
" You mean, what's written in the books aren't true?", Kanibora raised her eyebrows.
"Only a part of it. The rest stays hidden. You may know about it if you please. Do you want to ?", High priestess patted Kanibora's head.
Kanibora kept silent and thought something for a while before she answered," I do."
