After reaching Tirana, kanibora felt that the shield that she had created to get rid of the bad omen was hardly left. She recreated her spell, covering the mountain.
" So this is your job?," Danachi asked.
"Just a part of it.", She replied." A very, very little part."
Creating a shield was nothing compared to taking care of food of the species.
" The real hassle starts when things don't go as I want.", she added.
Danachi had found a place to sit. Sitting down he said, Aren't you capable of taking care of them?"
" I am but it's bothersome.", She replied.
It was time to get things done. She boarded her vision and tried to figure out what was going around the mountain.
"What're you doing?", Dan asked after seeing she was sitting my eyes closed for a long time.
" Seeing the present.", She replied.
" Then, what do you see?" , He asked again.
"Many things. Do you really want to know?"
He leaned forward and said,"Only if you tell me."
" There are four caves here in Tirana."she started,"Each pointing at different ways. The north cave and the east cave is conquered by bears. The south cave is the territory of foxes as it is the low land of the mountain. The west cave in inside of the waterfall infront of which-"
She added a little pause and looked at Danachi. His eyes were looking at the ground. He seemed a little out of it.
"- are the fishes currently living.",she finished.
"Huh? What? Fishes??", He seemed to be woken up from the word ' fish'.
"Yes, they are at the waterfall.", She replied.
"Oh.",after replying shortly ,he went quiet again.
" Is something bothering you?", She asked in worry.
Suddenly, he started frowning but didn't say anything.
" Hey, Danachi. Do you hear something?", She decided to make him snap out of it .
" Huh , what?", He looked around.
" I hear something tinkering. Very loud. As if something is going to explode."
" What??? But I don't hear anything." He was so confused. " Is it something serious? Do we need to get out of here?"
" I hear it-", she pointed at his head, " here. Stop thinking so hard. I can literally hear your mind working."
" I wasn't thinking that hard." He laughed.
"Now, can you tell me what's wrong?", She asked.
" I was thinking about where I'm suppose to spend the night. I came with you because I didn't want to leave you alone and for the same reason, I don't want to go back. ",He replied.
" That's it? You were thinking about that fragile thing?", She asked sarcastically.
" You can spend the night in the west cave. In the morning, follow the water and you'll reach Tahaku quickly. It's an easy route.",she said.
" Wait, you're not going there with me anymore?", He became anxious.
" I will. Later."
" That won't do. I won't leave without you."
" This guy-" ,she almost cursed.
" I'll go there sooner or later. About that thing in Aya,the matter is not solved yet. I'll need to go back but not now. And you CAN NOT stay with me forever. Don't push your luck.",she told him in a kind of a scolding tone. But afraid that he might sulk again she hurriedly got up to head for the west cave.
" Let's go. The sun has set for long. Let's go to the cave."
The west cave was at the highest point of the mountain. The waterfall that had covered the cave only left out a tiny amount, through which roughly a person could enter the cave. From where they were now, there were only a single clear path to the waterfall, that is to pass the south cave. Yes,the foxes. They were familiar with her but they might not be so friendly towards Danachi. So she decided to ask him out.
"Hey,Danachi. Want to meet some foxes?",she asked joking. But his jaw dropped big.
"You serious?!", He asked.
Kanibora tried not to scare him out more but he would probably be scared more if he was not prepared.
"Where we're going, there's a clear path that leads to it. But you'll meet some foxes in the way. The south cave stands between."
" But- but-",he started stammering.
" We're not talking about wolves. Just some friendly foxes.", She tried to assure him although it seemed useless.
" Aren't there any other ways? Can't we take a shortcut?",He asked desperately.
" Well, there is an easy route but it's actually not easy in reality. The forest there is the most dense one in the entire mountain."she replied.
" Hmm... let's see.",She closed her eyes again and said," There are 32 snakes in total that we'd meet on our way if we take the shortcut."
" But it's still better than the south cave. I'm taking the shortcut."He started to go in the opposite direction .
Kanibora raised her voice a bit and said," Oy, do you even know where to go?", Realizing himself, he came back immediately,
"Lead the way ", He said.
The shortcut that they took indeed had a bunch of snakes wandering around but kani could still figure out their position using her vision so it wasn't her main concern. Her main concern was Danachi constantly tripping on something and falling on her due to the darkness.
" Aah, ouch. Sorry. Didn't see that.",He had just tripped again.
" Can't you use your vision and tell me where I might trip?", He asked. Those were hurting him real bad.
She let out a little sigh," For the last time, I can't see the future. And I can't possibly tell you where each stone is located. There are millions of them in here."
" Then can't you use your magic and let the moonlight get through the trees?", He frowned while tripping again." I might turn cripple if this continues."
"There might be something I can do. But I am not sure if it would help."
She held out her hand high and summoned the fireflies..she already knew there are not much of them here right now but together, the might create somewhat enough lumina.
Soon, the fireflies came flying. They gathered together and created a strong glow.
"There.",she said. "Is this much light enough?"
Danachi looked fascinated. He then looked up and said," Absolutely. It's more than-"
He stopped. His eyes were suddenly narrowed as they were trying to see something behind kani.
"Bora, a fox isn't suppose to come out here right now, right?"His voice trembled.
"What are you talking about?", She asked.
"What's that?", He pointed at something behind her
She turned around. The first thing her eyes fell on was a pair of yellow-orange glowing triangle like eyes staring at them.
