Chapter 51 - Talkative Cousin

"Speaking of military, why don't you join the military like your brother? I'm sure Uncle will praise you greatly if you do," Yu Yan teased.

Kang San Hai's face immediately turned dark. "No way! He already forced me to join for three months and its hell there. I can't even talk to girls without the superior scolding me the next minute!"

"…I thought that you're not allowed to speak during training without permission."

"That's exactly the reason! How can I possibly stand not speaking at all! They're depriving me with the right to speak so much. I wish that I can tell my Father just how annoying that place was."

"And…"

"And I did exactly that. I recorded all my complains and send it to my Father each week. But in the end, my mother is the one visiting me and reprimanded my action because…."

With that, Kang San Hai went on and on about his grievances during military. Honestly, Yu Yan was tempted to bring popcorn out just to listen to her talkative cousin. While it was true that he could be annoying, he was quite a good story teller.

Not to mention, he was always up to date to some gossips that many people might not know yet.

"It's your turn," Yu Yan interrupted when she saw the person in front of Kang San Hai had paid for the donuts.

"Ah." Kang San Hai immediately turned around. "I want 24 donuts of this, this, this,…."

Hearing his order, Yu Yan's lips twitched. Could he even finish all 24 donuts by himself? But knowing that her cousin had sweet tongue, she chose not to comment and waited for their turn.

After Kang San Hai got his order, Yu Yan ordered the chocolate and nutty donut and then turned to look at Long Ying. "What do you want?"

"No need for me. Just buy for you."

"But…"

"I'll just take a bite from the donuts you choose."

"Alright."

Yu Yan added the creamy donut, so in total, she bought three. Long Ying paid for her and the two of them walked outside.

Kang San Hai was waiting for them and it was only now did he realize that Yu Yan was actually not alone. He eyed Long Ying curiously but didn't seem to be worry to much about the other party's appearance. As he had interacted with man y weird people, he didn't really care about how one carried themselves.

"Cousin Yu Yan, this is…?"

"Oh right, I haven't introduced you. This is my husband, Long Ying. Long Ying, this is my talkative cousin, Kang San Hai."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too!" Kang San Hai greeted enthusiastically. "Wow, you're amazing Cousin Yu Yan! You're practically the first one among all five of us to get married. Why did you not tell us about this good piece of news from the very first place?"

"What do you mean not telling you? I just gotten married to him a few days ago." Yu Yan was amused when he saw her cousin was happy. The only person among her relatives who would not care about Long Ying and find him suspicious would be Kang San Hai and him alone.

The others would surely felt that his appearance was too suspicious first.

"Ah really? Then congratulations! Will you hold a wedding party?" Kang San Hai asked again.

"Not now."

"Aww, too bad."

"You just want to eat the cake, don't you?"

"Busted."

Yu Yan laughed and shook her head lightly, feeling amused by her cousin's behavior. On her side, Long Ying grabbed her hand tighter, attracting her attention to him.

Kang San Hai looked at the two of them curiously. "Have you been dating for a long time, Cousin Yu Yan?"

"Just call me by my name, you make it sound so distant. Well, he used to be my classmates, so I have known him for…. 11 years?"

"That's really long." Kang San Hai was stunned.

Yu Yan smiled bitterly. But the real time they actually seeing each other was only three years since they spent the past 8 years busy with their own lives and never even gotten a glimpse of each other.

"Oh right, what do you do for work, Brother in law?"

Hearing Kang San Hai call him brother in law put Long Ying in good mood. He had been annoyed because his wife's attention was taken by this bratty cousin of hers, but seeing how he seemed to know his place pleased him.

"I'm unemployed."
