Chapter 3 - Broken Heart

Zhang Liang didn't say anything and entered the car, waiting for Feng Mian and Yu Yan to decide where they wanted to go.

"Where do you want to go?"

"Go to my room in the motel," Feng Mian replied. It was the less conspicuous place and if people saw Zhang Liang went home late at night like this, it wouldn't be too good. Besides, her place was nearer, only five to ten minutes' drive.

Zhang Liang was quite a famous businessman and naturally a lot of journalist would want to get a picture of him and spread some news. It was only unfortunate that they didn't have the chance so far as Zhang Liang didn't allow them to.

"Ok."

Yu Yan had calmed down. She was crying for two hours straight while sitting on that cold place. Feng Mian took the spare blanket that Zhang Liang had in the backseat and used it to cover her best friend. All the while, she hugged her and patted her back, trying to comfort her.

Right now, Yu Yan had started to calm down and began to think of her relationship with Bao Tu. How come she had not realize it at all when he first began to cheat on her sister? Just how blind was she to not notice it until this point?

Her face that Bao Tu punched no longer hurt. Instead, it was her heart that felt the most pain. The pain from betrayal and the fact that she was so dumb that she didn't even realize it even though it was placed right in front of her eyes.

How stupid.

"We've arrived."

The apartment where Feng Mian used to stay was located not far from Yu Yan's apartment. Before Feng Mian married Zhang Liang, she was just an ordinary fresh graduate who started working. For some strange reason, she got tangled with the president and ended up getting married.

Even Yu Yan was utterly speechless when Feng Mian told her the story in the past.

Just because one overtime…

F***, if an overtime could hook an employee with their boss, just how many people would be willing to have an overtime?

But of course, Yu Yan knew that there were several other factors playing out there.

She followed Feng Mian to the latter's apartment. It was just a small apartment with the living room merged with the kitchen at around two meters' x two meters, but the apartment was clean since Zhang Liang sent people to clean it up every week. There were only two doors, one leading to Feng Mian's bedroom while the other one leading to the bathroom.

It was even smaller than Yu Yan's cheap apartment. At least, Yu Yan still have proper living room and there were two bedrooms in which one could be used for guest when someone come.

Feng Mian dragged her to her bedroom.

"I can't sit there," Yu Yan refused when Feng Mian wanted to bring her to the bed.

Feng Mian frowned. "Do you want to wash up first? I still have my clothing here. You can use it."

The two of them have similar height and stature. Yu Yan was around 5'3 in height while Feng Mian was a bit shorter. Their difference was their countenance and feature along with their attitude.

"En."

Yu Yan headed to the bathroom. It was also a small bathroom with one shower and no bathtub. With Feng Mian's previous economic condition, it was almost impossible for her to be able to have one.

Well, she didn't mind in the slightest bit.

Pss!

The running water hit her face as Yu Yan stood under the water. Her eyes were staring at the front. Countless images were playing in front of her before she let out a hollow laugh. How laughable for her to fall for such a man who merely sweet talked her. However, Bao Tu did come at a very convenient time for her…

Sighing, Yu Yan started to wash up.

She knew that it wouldn't be easy for her to forget Bao Tu overnight. After all, she did have the intention to cultivate relationship seriously with him before everything fell apart in just a single night.

"Yu Yan, are you done?"

"A bit more."

Closing the tap, Yu Yan looked at her own appearance on the mirror. Bao Tu had punched her squarely on the face, probably as revenge since she poured hot water to their faces. Heh, she would be very happy if they have scars on their body, especially on her sister's face.

It was truly unfortunate that the water was not boiling hot water. If only she had the time, she should have headed to the kitchen and prepared that boiling hot water.
