By the time Kemi returned they were gone.
Ryan and his company were somewhere in the forest. The tree branches swayed from side to side as the wind blew. They saw another group of people, sitting on logs and rocks chatting.
"Hey can you spare a meal" a guy in Ryan's group ask. The moment they saw Shoto they asked
"You guys are Rubix Cube right?".
"Yes we are", Lawhey said and looked at the others.
A man said after he removed a twig, he was chewing, from his mouth. He looked at the others he was with. They walked to Shoto and looked him in the face. Then did the same to the others.
The people Rubix Cube were traveling with help themselves to their food. They ate as they watched them.
"I thought you were suppose to have scales?"
The man with the twig in his hand said. As he peaked under Shoto's cape.
"There is a bounty of a million Red for you guys. Did you know that? "
The man turned and asked their companions. Who were still eating their food.
"Yes we know, but it's a void bounty"
One man said to them.
"Void, bounty he says. It's a million red who cares who cares?".
The man said flicking the twig at them.
Rubix Cube just stood there looking at them.
"Brim Guilds are not to accept Quest else where. Beside void quest are illegal"
One man said.
"illegal, we are in the forest, there is no legal."
"True, but if Brim finds out you will still be punished"
The man said focused on his food. The other man walked to his and snatched the bowl from him.
"How are they going to find out, from you?"
He kicked the man in the chest, and he fell off the log.
"You think you can win the Game, when Brim and Eternity are participating. We are all adventurers but we are not Brim. Brim takes care of it's own, if you don't join Brim Guild you don't get the good stuff. I'm looking out for myself and you should do the same. "
He said then unscathed his sword, other nocked his bow and pointed it a Shoto. The others ran and place their sword at their neck.
Ryan punched this attacker and knocked him out, simultaneously their acher fired and arrow at him. He fell down and the acher nocked his bow again.
One guy checked his pulse and shook his head at their leader.
"You guys are coming with us, try anything and you'll end up like your friend."
Shoto punched a guy breaking his glasses. The glass shuttered and pierced his eye. He screamed covering his eyes.
"I just tried something, why didn't you shot the arrow?"
Lawhey and Helton looked at Shoto all surprised. They knew Ryan was playing dead, they expected Shoto to go along with the plan.
"It said alive on the bounty, but if you are going to be bitter about turning you in. I'm just going to have to kill you.", the man said.
Shoto removed his cape, and the a her fired at him. He instantly scaled up, then the arrow hit scales and fell down. His bright red scales were now a little darker. The acher struggled to nock his bow. He couldn't stop shaking, Shoto grabbed him by the head and slammed him into the ground. It all happened so fast their leader was unable to react. All they heard was the sound of the bone being crashed.
He looked to his side and saw his partner coughing blood. He was bleeding from his head, all of a sudden he was stabbed in the chest.
