Chapter 2 - When Things Started To Get Weird

As the title says… today was when things started to REALLY get weird.

So.

Let me start at the beginning…

I got to school, right? It was normal and everything.

I went through my classes, avoided the bitches and fuckers… but then… Well…

"Someone!" I screamed. "Let me out! I'm here!"

Stuck in the bathroom.

Some people just like to cause problems for others.

One bitch named Victoria - even got a bitchy name, like what? Did she come out of the womb and flip someone off so her parents named her this? - followed me to the bathroom.

Cornered me, monologued… blah blah blah… probably something about Carter just because… stay away… blah blah blahddy-blah…

When she was done and I finished washing my hands, I blinked at her, gave a strained smile… and then I said:

"Look, if you eat makeup then your insides will be pretty, too, and THEN Carter will pay attention to you. Shame makeup's not edible and you'll forever be ugly on the inside." I shrugged and started to walk around her.

Victoria had long black hair, dark eyes, conventionally pretty features with a mature body. But her personality was ugly as HELL.

She shoved me down before I could get to the door and sneered at me. She said some more "mean-spirited" words…

Loser this… bitch that…

I stopped paying attention…

But then, she left and locked the door from the outside.

I had been wondering what those keys in her hand were for.

I'm an idiot sometimes.

So, now here I am.

Stuck. In. The. Bathroom.

It was 4:00 so everyone had probably left, but I kept yelling.

Seriously, aren't there janitors and teachers roaming the halls?

Guess not.

The windows in the bathroom were not only at the very top of the wall, but also only 6 inches wide.

Yeah… There's no way I'd be able to get through that.

Nike = big boobs, bubble-butt, fairly broad shoulders

The sun hadn't gone down yet and the windows were facing west.

I don't have a phone so there's no way I could call anyone. Not that there'd be anyone on my phone other than Grandfather.

I finally gave up and sat down.

Grandfather had to be looking for me by now.

It was almost 8pm when the sun disappeared.

The entire room was dark. I could technically still see in front of me, and the entire room. Since I was young, I'd been able to see in the dark a lot better than my peers or any adults.

Besides being mentally exhausted, I was starving. Being stuck in the school wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't ONLY stuck in the bathroom.

I stood up and walked around… thinking…

I walked over to the mirror and placed my hands on the sides of the sink, sighing.

"Why?" I asked my reflection.

And then… the craziest thing happened…

The reflection of the shadow on the bathroom stall door… MOVED.

I immediately turned around…

But there was nothing there.

I forced my breathing to remain even as I kicked open the bathroom stalls.

Nothing.

Shaking off my thoughts, I concluded it was starvation.

I stepped backwards towards the sink, leaning my butt against it as I rubbed my eyes. Eyes closed, I turned around and turned on the tap.

I washed my face and drank some water from the tap.

Then…

I looked back up and was met with the reflection of not only myself… but a silhouette behind me.

I turned around again, swiping the air.

The silhouette ducked under my arm and moved towards me.

I scrambled sideways and into one of the stalls, locking the door.

But then… the silhouette passed through the door.

I shut my eyes, hoping my body would be buried near my parents when I was found the next day…

If there'd BE any body left to bury, that is.

But no pain came.

In fact, there was a gentle wisp on my cheek.

I tentatively opened my eyes and found myself staring into two glowing diamonds.

Startled, I reared back.

"Don't be afraid," the silhouette said. "I'm not going to hurt you, Nike."

I freaked out.
