Chapter 10 - Her Ideal Type is Someone Who's Not Buff

"Bo," a voice full of hatred spoke through the rain. "It's all your fault." It spoke again. This time, the scratching of a sword against stone, followed it. The sound had happened once before, and it had resulted in a sudden burst of pain on the right side of his chest. And a pool of blood.

As the voice began to speak once more, it rose its sword, preparing to kill the young boy. The boy tried to turn, to run away from the strike. But it was a futile attempt. And instead, the sword slashed against his left shoulder blade.

"If only you hadn't been born."

A gasp echoed through the dark clearing.

Chen Bohai, who had been rendered unconscious after using all of his energy to fight the hooligans at the restaurant, was now sitting upright. Unknowingly, Bohai began to hyperventilate. His attention was elsewhere, which was putting him in danger of suffocating.

The words of an unknown person echoed through his mind, the dream replaying itself every time his old nickname was spoken. While the dream replayed itself in his mind, his body was frantically holding onto the scars where the sword had once slashed.

His shirt was soon shredded and unrecognizable as a piece of clothing. His hands desperately clutched onto the right side of his chest, and his left shoulder blade. All while doing so, he was hyperventilating. Unaware of the reality, and danger, he was in.

"O-Old man!" Xu Qingling screamed. She had gone out to collect some last things for their breakfast, when she stumbled upon the chaotic scene that Bohai was unconsciously presenting.

Tan Huizhong leisurely made his way to the girl's scream, but immediately realized his mistake. Chen Bohai was shirtless, and bloody. His fingers also had blood on them, with bits of his skin stuck underneath his fingernails. Deep scars were revealed on his upper body, and more were about to develop if someone didn't stop him now.

Immediately, Tan Huizhong restrained Bohai. It took all the strength in him to get the teenage boy to stop, and even then he had to use some of his chi to finally wake him up. When he woke up, it was only for a brief second, before he passed out due to blood loss.

Exhausted, Tan Huizhong remained seated. He worriedly stared at the boy in front of him. Unsure of what could make him do such a thing to himself.

"W-What happened to him?" Xu Qingling carefully asked. She had arrived before Tan Huizhong, and had seen the scars on his back more clearly before the blood covered them. The scars were something someone his age shouldn't have.

"What do you think?" Tan Huizhong snapped at the girl's carelessness. "I think," he spoke again after some time, "he was there that night."

A frightening silence enveloped their small makeshift camp after his words. Only rumors told of the vicious slaughter of the entire Chen clan, which had over two thousand people in it. The stories depicted even worse treatment the higher ones standing, and the stories about the head family couldn't even begin to be imagined.

The reason why Chen Bohai had a bounty on his head, and why his bounty was so high, was simply because of his birth. He was the third son of the clan's head, the grandson of the almighty war hero - Chen Junjie, and the brother of the late Crown Princess. Not to mention, his rumored potential because of his destined fate had boosted his bounty by thousands.

His experience on that historical night, must've been more brutal than any other. The nightmare that had put him in such a miserable state, only proved that theory.

No one would've guessed that the nightmare that almost had him kill himself, wasn't even big enough to be called a portion of the trauma he had gone through in a single night.

The smell of food awoke Chen Bohai from his state of slumber. He was too hungry to notice his appearance, and instead followed his nose to see Xu Qingling and Tan Huizhong eating a meal together. At once, his stomach growled at seeing the food.

The sudden noise caught both people's attention, and both of them were beyond shocked to see the boy standing upright. Xu Qingling turned red upon seeing his appearance, but didn't look away.

Chen Bohai had ripped his shirt to shreds, and neither Tan Huizhong or Xu Qingling could find his spare shirt. So, after cleaning his wounds, they had left him alone. Now, he stood there shirtless.

Growing up on a farm, Bohai's muscles were well developed. However, because of his tall structure, they were elongated and not as noticeable. Especially with clothes on. But, with no shirt on, one could truly appreciate the beauty the rest of his body held. Especially in his stomach region. He had the hint of a six pack forming.

Xu Qingling normally would've looked away in this type of situation. But, she didn't dare to look away from Chen Bohai. His body type, and of course his handsome face, was exactly her ideal type!

'Mom,' she began to think to herself, 'I finally found the one!'
