Chapter 412 - Becoming Lucid

Hylo triggered an eruption behind Solqulo just as the tornado ceased, the force shoved the aged Thawed towards her. She barreled towards him like a bullet, piercing his ribcage.

Bones cracked beneath such pressure, but Solqulo remained firm. He used the opportunity to reach down onto Hylo's chest and rip out an orb that hovered over her chest.

And to his surprise, he managed to hold it in his hands. Hylo felt her power drain as Solqulo pulled away.

They landed on the tower again, which took shape once again. Flower beds replaced the empty space between fragmented dreams, showing somebody else was in control.

Solqulo stormed towards Hylo. The two locked eyes before colliding. Solqulo rose a firm kick to her stomach, but she tossed the leg aside.

Hylo leaned forward with confidence, a firm fist landed perfectly onto Solqulo's bloody face. She used her other hand to manifest her sword.

In response, Solqulo grabbed onto her wrist and twisted it. He tugged Hylo's body violently before lifting an arm and bringing it down onto the back of her elbow.

A nasty snap signaled the fight was going in Solqulo's favor. Hylo's heart started beating faster than before, adrenaline ran rapidly through her system.

Solqulo kicked her aside just as his lucidity faded. He kept his eyes fixed onto her chest, waiting for the orb to appear again.

But Hylo had enough, she gripped onto her broken arm. With a weary stomp, the entire arena became a pale landscape.

When Solqulo opened his eyes, he was back in front of his home. He turned to look at where Hylo sat, but she wasn't there anymore.

Realizing this meant the fight was over, Solqulo reached for his shoulder. When he looked at his hand, there was no blood. Then he reached for his gut, when he looked at his hand, there was no blood.

Yet the pain still felt real. As if it truly did happen. Solqulo leaned back, letting the frigid morning air wash over his sweaty forehead.

"What an interesting pre-Noble... it feels best to share my discovery with Nestres," Solqulo mumbled.

He rose from his seat, taking a moment to dust off his pants. Then he stumbled away from the stairs, walking in the direction of Nestres' city.

While he calmly made his way towards his leader, another conflict was rising.

Ketra howled like a wild animal, trying to stagger Befehlnadir. Yet he pushed through, careless. Fruzzy's shield clashed against the side of his head, allowing Ketra to run in and tackle him.

She wrestled the tyrant onto the ground, pinning his arms against the broken floorboards underneath. Fruzzy attempted to drive her spear into his skull, but Befehlnadir moved his head out of the way.

Regardless of how much pressure Ketra was putting on him, Befehlnadir struggled out of her grip. Allowing him to start striking her ribs with his knee.

Fruzzy held back on attacking as to not accidentally hurt Ketra. Befehlnadir threw the Feral off, letting him roll onto his knees.

With one swift motion, Befehlnadir tackled Fruzzy. She struck a nearby brick wall, turning the impact zone to rubble.

Ketra stormed towards Befehlnadir, Koroth shook beneath her mighty stomps. He jumped up to deliver a knee straight to her nose, shattering it.

Befehlnadir quickly pinched her nose, then he pressed his lips against hers. Ketra stood still out of pure shock, even if this was a surprise, she let it happen.

To Ketra, this was a kiss. But she failed to realize what the purpose really was. Befehlnadir blew air into her mouth, causing her eyes to swell.

Movement behind him prompted Befehlnadir to duck out of instinct, letting Fruzzy accidentally stab her spear through Ketra's neck.

Ketra stumbled back, frightened and furious. Her body started glowing in a blueish-white color. Fruzzy didn't react, she simply turned around and ran.

Befehlnadir manifested a rift into his arena behind Ketra. He charged towards her, tackling her through the rift.

He quickly closed it, letting Ketra detonate in there. Despite fighting with Fruzzy earlier, he let go run off. After all, she arrived unexpectedly.

Bergo's light washed over the sky, giving Befehlnadir a clear view of the town he destroyed. Civilians hid from his sight. They pressed their ears against windows, doors, walls.

And they sat so incredibly silent, all they could hear were their hearts beating in their chests. They waited patiently for the sounds of heavy boots stomping away from their town.

"Don't worry!" Befehlnadir announced. "The fight is over, just destroyed a few homes and that's it. I'll get going now, but if any of those two stumble back in here - you call me, okay? 'Okay!' All right, cool."

Commanders peeked out to see if he was really leaving. They watched Befehlnadir's hands sparking, dragging him back into Pareidolia.

Upon arriving, Hitirus noticed him stretching. At the time, Hitirus sat as an all-female hybrid. With the majority of her body being Yomie and Zegus.

"I see you're intact, a lot of blood, but still in one piece." Hitirus commented.

Befehlnadir chuckled. "Of course. Ketra wasn't difficult to handle, the issue is she always has her friend around to aid."

"They've always been like that. Fruzzy is like Ketra's owner," Hylo blurted out.

Befehlnadir shot a glance at her. She laid down beside Hitirus, head resting on her lap.

"Look at that, she likes you now. Since when did you two become friends?" Befehlnadir joked.

Hitirus scoffed, then she patted the grass beside her. "Come join us. You can rest on me if you'd like."

"Oh, really? Sounds like a good deal. By the way, whatever happened to the small one?" Befehlnadir asked.

Hylo yawned. "I was resting with Neddy, then he told me to stay with Hitirus. He said he was going to confront the Far Fetcher about something."

"That Feral? Are you sure your 'Neddy' is mentally stable? I saw what that Feral can do, I suffered a single kick from him and it randomly turned me into dust. Can he fare against him.

Hylo shrugged. "If Bergo is overhead, maybe."
