"You seem stronger than most, yes," the Thawed commented. "So to give you a fair trail, I will match your strength. Come on, offender."
Hitirus growled, ready to lunge at him. Until a sudden realization struck him. This wasn't a Thawed, the other guards and lack of Thawed suggest this one was more important.
A Noble Mind.
"Otres..." the Scaler commented.
Almost on cue to his name, Otres barreled right at Hitirus. Slamming a closed fist on the pavement after Hitirus dodged. Stone shattered and dust swirled.
Before Hitirus could muster up a counter, Otres drove a powerful elbow straight to his stomach. It knocked the strength from his torso while sending him flying.
Otres jumped up to confront the hybrid, keeping a cold stare of justice in his eyes. He grabbed onto Hitirus' shoulder, then brought him into a knee. Which Hitirus used his left arm to defend against.
Melted Thawed magma erupted out of his chest, engulfing the Thawed. He followed it up by throwing Otres' hand aside, then grabbing onto his wrist.
Using his body mass, Hitirus spun around and hurled him at a nearby building. Otres landed perfectly on his feet, then darted towards him like a bullet. Brick crumbled from the impact.
Hitirus couldn't react fast enough to block Otres' incoming kick. Which pushed him further away from possible jumping points. Wind whistled by as he crash landed through a shop's roof.
"You've got the tools to assist yourself in this fight. Here's my pointers:" the male Zegus prepared to list. "Lead him away from jumping points, use the Scaler to make your own platforms via kicking objects and using the remains.
Also, keep your eyes clear, use the extra adrenaline and nyaxophir. That'll slow the Noble Mind down enough to give you a fighting chance. Right now, you're being rag dolled."
Otres gracefully landed beside him, eyes glaring down at the nearly buried tyrant. "Gave up?"
In response, Hitirus shot right back up to his feet. He drove a solid front-kick against his lower stomach area, then a straight that landed on his chest. Kicking out all air in his lungs.
No pain could be seen in Otres' eyes, they were as cold aas ever. He tried to deliver his own right hook, only for Hitirus to duck and stomp his foot on the pavement.
More dust and pieces of stone and cement were dislodged. One hand grabbed as much dust, the other pavement. He spun back up, throwing the dust into his eyes first.
Then he struck Otres with the solid stone, turning that into dust particles. Otres stumbled back, one hand covering his face. He mumbled a prayer, then a ritual.
"... Nine, o' you so high and holy. Grace thystro with the endurance to withstand the harshest punishment... penalty of being a dirty brawler," Otres mumbled.
Suddenly, Hitirus felt himself grow quicker and physically tougher. The energy quickly taught how it was intended to save him from Otres.
Hitirus rolled to the side when Otres suddenly shot towards him, throwing shield in hand. He spun around, then hurled it at Hitirus.
Which struck him perfectly against the chest. Staggering him long enough for Otres to dive in, striking him with a spiteful knee to the chin.
The wall behind Hitirus crumbled as he found himself stuck inside of it. Otres quickly rushed over, lowering a fist to strike Hitirus with an upper-cut.
It landed on his chin, sending him flying over Otres. Only for Hitirus to plant his feet against the wall. Then he jumped higher over the city.
Otres followed, aiming to brutalize Hitirus in the sky. Yet when he came in for an attack, Hitirus promptly dodged out of the way. Allowing Otres to land against a wall.
Hitirus quickly jumped up to greet him, but before attacking. He reached for the damage, then tore out a chunk of debris. Throwing them all over the place.
Realizing now was a perfect opportunity to strike, Otres slapped Hitirus wit hthe back of his hand. Then he kicked him off the building. He grappled onto him as they fell, ready to bludgen him.
Yet Hitirus was smart enough to use his tools. He fought free, then planted his feet against Otres' chest and stomach. Then he kicked as hard as he could, sending the Thawed barreling towards the ground.
As he fell, Otres hurled his shield at Hitirus. Only for him to throw a random brick at the shield to change its flight path. They clashed, making a loud clank sound.
Hitirus landed beneath a larger piece of debris, then jumped off to increase his speed. By now, Otres landed, making a large crater for himself.
"RIGHT HERE, BASTARD!" Hitirus howled in fury.
The crater grew in size as Hitirus drove his entire body mass into the flying knee. Thus digging it deep into Otres' stomach, forcing blood out of his mouth.
Hitirus instantly looked up, ready to throw off any incoming debris. He knocked them aside as they fell, keeping him and Otres clear of the raining destruction.
"You're a... mighty fine warrior," Otres coughed. "Y - you fought fairly, but very clever. A t - true fighter, from skin to soul."
"I don't want compliments, just directions. You're the Noble Mind Otres, aren't you? The Far Fetcher gave me gifts for you," Hitirus explained.
Otres regained his full strength, allowing him to heal himself completely. The cold stare came back, so did his frozen over appearance.
"Ah, the Far Fetcher!" Otres chuckled. "Come with me, Hitirus. You've won a fight against someone equal to your strength, now you deserve a pardon and a meal."
Hitirus stared at him, bewildered at the offering. "After I destroyed your city? Killed your guards? How do you even know my name?"
"So many questions, Hitirus. So little time until I send you off to Nestres, you know. Come with me, I'll explain everything over some fresh food," Otres cheerfully explained.
Despite how odd it was, Hitirus didn't go against it. Better take advantage of a meal right now, because there might not be another later.
