Lanzu howled into the frozen over Yarno, her voice was ripe with unyielding pride. She, along with her group of attackers, dashed through the clearing to meet with the Volatile forces.
Pike heads and sword tips stabbed into armor, bending and breaking some. But not going deep enough to cause any serious injuries.
During the battle, Lanzu let go of her primary pike as she backed away. She was quick on her feet, ludging forward with her other pike in hand. It came down like a lightning strike onto her target's neck, killing them instantly.
Enclier laughed manically as she pounced on a random defending warrior. The soles of her feet clashed against the metal shield. Her full bodyweight was weighing down on the defender.
Sernatacus unleashed a nasty roar, sending the defender into a panic. Allowing Enclier to bite down on their neck and rip out a good chunk.
Sickly red blood dripped down from her jaws as she cheerfully chewed, it felt warm in her mouth. As she ate, a volley of incoming feathers rained from overhead.
Unuwkus were starting their assault, trying to pick apart Infinus. They were constantly on the move, dodging the explosives and the rogue bolas.
"Hey, you, Thawed with the leather strap!" Enoptes called out. "Do you see that other Feral, the one in the freshly made pants?"
In response, the Thawed nodded. Slowly backing closer to his leader for further instructions.
"I want you to throw that damn thing up to the skies!" he ordered.
Sencto roared, dodging the incoming feathers repeatedly. His eyes were narrowed and feet flexible. It was as if he wasn't numbed over. There was no way to slow him down.
When he dashed through the open air, the Thawed caught him with one hand. Then he spun around and hurled Sencto overhead.
Up there, he latched onto a diving Unuwku. His foot came down on the rider's face, before sliding down to their level. Two devastating hits came down on the defender's shoulder blades.
Metal cracked from the sudden tug, striping him clean of any defense there. Before she could try to reach for a weapon, Sencto did it again. This time, he yanked on her actual shoulder blades.
They cracked, then promptly shattered. Sencto roared furiously, it was like rumbling clouds. Except he was going to cause some serious damage. His unlocked jaws chomped down between her breast, leaving a gaping hole in its wake.
Blood poured out, vanishing into the wind as they flew. Cloth, bones, and flesh crunched in unison as he digested them. While she died, he ran up to the Unuwku's head and shattered the crown with a single heavy punch.
It howled in agony as it lost control of itself, tumbling down to Koroth. Sencto leapt off, landing onto another not too far from there.
Hedix took in a deep breath, allowing his shoulders to relax. A sudden crystal shattering caught his attention, this was Decka's Third Rule.
"Do not keep your guard down!" he called out to Hedix.
A singular but firm nod assured Decka he understood. Not wanting to waste anymore time, Hedix returned to his reality. Whoever wanted to combat him would get the chance to.
With each force faced and killed, there was plenty of anxiety left over. Hedix was afraid one day he would return from a battle covered in purple wounds, deep cuts, and broken bones.
But because of his inability to feel any emotion, he would never figure that out unless someone told him. On the off chance someone didn't notice, he feared the wounds would heal incorrectly.
Leaving him unable to compete or function properly in future battles. However, he couldn't turn back his ability to feel anything without feeling all the pain.
Decka watched Hedix grab a shaking warrior by the chest and slam him on the ground. A heavy metallic leg came down right after his head, crushing it against the snow.
Hedix grabbed another defender by the back of the head, then drove a fist straight through their helmet. The dents were severe, the wearer couldn't even see out of the eye sockets.
Conflicting voices clashed against each other, masking the battle cry of an incoming defender. The pike pierced the back of his knee, causing Hedix to lose balance.
"Ugh!" he cried out in surprise. "Dammit!"
A sudden urge of duty filled Decka, motivating him to rush out in aid of his ally. They were the only ones left from the original Sunset Pearl had planned out. Decka didn't want to be the last one.
Enoptes planted his pole on the ground, allowing the Infinus flag to dance proudly in the skies. Sernatacus roared in the distance, playing almost a theme song as it judged their attackers.
"Shielded one has broken formation," Sernatacus notified. "What will we do?"
"Let my Ferals and I defend ourselves," Cyclone interrupted. "The temperature may not be to our liking, but it will not hinder us. We will fight."
Before anyone could say another word, Connisko Ferals broke out into a frenzy. They split apart, dodging feathers and arrows, storming towards targets to punish them with no mercy.
"THIS IS FOR ALL YOU'VE MADE SUFFER!" Cyclone bellowed.
Sernatacus turned to face Enoptes, who simply nodded once to confirm the deed. Prompting Sernatacus to take off after them, joining the battle with their newfound allies.
During the bloodshed, Infinus and Volatile alike suffered great losses. Many witnessed this. Dream-like white snow quickly became hellish in hue beneath their battling.
Cyclone effortlessly snapped the neck of an occupied Volatile warrior, he growled as he did so. It was clear he had a lot of anger built up.
"Hey!" Bile shouted, hand on the hilt of his long-sword. "Per Niro's requests, you cannot enter the rest of the region without being part of the Trilogy."
"Yeah, well, you can shove it!" Cyclone's eyes narrowed with hostility as his middle finger waved towards Bile's direction. "Come here and fight me, asshole."
Bile took out his finely made blade. "Then let's not keep the devil waiting, Feral."
