Chapter 251 - Massacre

"Your corruption is my gift. Use it," Demon ordered his servants.

The Iron Maiden was the first to drop from the roof. She opened her arms, taunting those inside. Ten pike heads and sword tips pointed at her, she did not care.

A bolt exited a crossbow from the back of the room, piercing her shoulder. The pain made her feel alive, but she couldn't react in a natural way.

Instead, she unleashed a barrage of bolts back at the front row of defenders. Their armors, stained with corruption and blood, littered the ground.

She stepped through the open doorway, ready to rip whoever stood before her to bits. Syndicate Dust was running wild across her body.

Demon jumped from rooftop to rooftop, making a clear disturbance as he searched for the pens. Arrows whizzed by overhead, barely missing him.

Whoever tried to shoot at the rampant elite had the wrong target. They heard voices scream in agony, begging for a quick death instead of bleeding out.

But the Iron Butler did not understand their language. He didn't understand anything. Just like the maiden, he was confused. Thirsty for a method of curing this confusion.

"What the hell is that thing?" an archer cried out.

They unleashed a volley of arrows towards the pitch-black figure. In response, the butler simply walked closer. He did not care about the resistance.

Portions of his body disappeared instantly, allowing the arrows to travel through. There was not a hint of annoyance as he stepped closer to the first archer.

Upon seeing the small gap between the two, the archer swapped to a large dagger. Its pearl-white blade reflected the purity he believed in.

Frightened rage took control of the Zegus' mind, he cocked his arm back and thrust his entire body forward. Bringing the weapon down on the butler.

Causing the figure to disappear, then reappear. The Zegus struggled to regain his balance, that's when he felt a distorted rope tie around his neck. With a sudden tug, his wind pipe was crushed.

Not wanting to let go of a body so quickly, the butler spun around and released the corpse. Before anyone could react, it crashed onto four other archers.

Dust empowered the butler's body, allowing him to leap up into the air. He gazed at the outpost below, looking at all the incoming forces and desperate archers below.

Along with his master jumping onto a Cemtras. Demon brought his hand over the beast's head, taking complete control of it.

When he brought his head back up to focus on other victims, he heard a distant explosion. It was the sound of the butler demolishing the entire group before him.

The Cemtras howled in utter fury, then it began charging at the other creatures in the pens. Starting with neighboring Cemtrin, who got too curious for their own good.

Its fist came down on the first beast, paralyzing them instantly. Demon ordered the Cemtras to rip out the other's arm, which it did.

Using the limb, the next Cemtras was greeted with a side of its ally's arm. It tumbled onto the ground, eating dirt all the way through.

A Sarorin charged at them, the sharp horn protruding from its back was ready to kill. But before it could even connect with the tainted beast, Demon ordered the Cemtras to flick the beast off course.

Sending the heavy creature flying onto the second Cemtras' head, crushing and killing both instantly. A pool of red gore decorated where the pens were.

Despite their successful rampage, neither of the two noticed the other incoming Sarorin. A row of at least seven of them stormed over. There was no way of surviving this one.

Instead of fighting til the very end, Demon leapt off his mount. Letting it get impaled by several horns. Its dying yelps activated a blast powerful enough to rock their insides until their heartbeats stopped.

Now on the ground, Demon unleashed a grapple onto another Sarorin. He yanked on it, dragging the beast into an incoming Cemtras. Both creatures clashed against each other with a heavy thump.

He leapt over another incoming Sarorin, causing it to break focus and stumble forward. Allowing Demon to land right on it and bring his arm over its head.

Pure corruption controlled the beast now, it served to reason with chaos. Demon took aim at the nearby buildings, then he ordered his beast to charge through them.

Metals cracked and stones crumbled as it went into a frenzy. None of the warriors were equipped to deal with beasts. Their strategy was to handle creatures with creatures.

The Iron Butler picked up a retreating warrior by the neck, then tossed him in front of the Sarorin's path. Using the blade-like horn, the creature effortlessly tore him in half.

A black fist dazed another warrior, allowing the butler to drive a claw into the chest of another. He effortlessly picked them up and flung them against a wall.

Once again, he returned his focus to the first warrior. Black blades lined his fists, allowing him to drive it into the warrior's gut, then tear it out.

With raw pain and defeated strength, the warrior collapsed onto their knees. Then the butler brought a cleaver down on their head, nearly completely cutting them in half.

He took a moment to assess the chaos, keeping its shoulders broad and fists closed. That's when he realized several flyers overhead.

These were Unuwku. Beasts with two massive wings and two hind legs that were just as large. Feathers covered their bodies, which could be used as artillery if needed.

During that moment of realization, the butler realized the Infinus had arrived. That was why more forces were showing up.

The Iron Maiden stepped beside her ally, keeping her arms low to show respect. Both entities exchanged looks with each other, before moving on to cause more chaos.

While the battle raged on below, Variants on the island gathered around. They looked from their balcony up in heaven. No one dared to celebrate, not yet.

Celebration came when they were free from their prison.
