Ferals leapt up over the incoming defenders, ready to pounce on them. Claws ready to rip apart any defenseless limbs, jaws opened ready to spring shut, and their courage ablaze.
Suth lowered her stance, getting ready to drive her weapon's blunt edges through armor. One attacker brought down their pike, hoping to thrust it into her heart.
Right as the tip of the spear pushed her back, Suth contested by flicking the entire pike with her left arm. Lifting up the axe using her other hand, then drove it straight onto the attacker's shoulder.
They grunted, trying their best to endure through the bone-crushing pain. Only to receive a full force strike to the face, breaking their stance. Suth followed it up with an axe swing to the side of the knee.
She heartlessly watched them fall, screaming in pain. Using the edge of her axe, she broke the attacker's neck with a full forced strike. Ending their fight for good.
Decka rushed towards her, lifting up his shield to block an incoming mace swing. The blunt weapon struck the side of his shield, making a metallic scraping sound as he brought it pushed the weapon back.
As the attacker recovered, Decka drove the side of his shield into their gut. Lodging itself in place. Before the warrior could process what had happened to their body, Decka snapped their neck.
"I can tell they are not giving this battle their best. A normal warrior would have caught on to their mistake when challenging a shielded enemy already," Decka commented.
"These are Light warriors, uncapable of detecting their own pride. They think a title gives them power," Suth replied.
"But in a way it does," Decka planted his shield on the ground, lowering himself with it. "Gives them motivation."
Arrows landed on the battlefield. Some lodged themselves inside shields and armor, potentially injuring those it struck. While the lucky few killed their targets.
But this volley did not feel like an act of defense. It instead felt like an act of desperation. Several Light warriors were struck by the bolts.
Giving them a massive disadvantage when trying to defend themselves against the incoming Infinus hordes.
Suth felt the sharp pain fill her mind. It stung very bad, this was true. Cold blood slowly oozed out of her open wounds, making her feel the comforting temperature once again.
Despite these being potentially serious injuries, Suth saw these as new tools. Her hand reached down for one that dug itself into her stomach, gently wiggling it out.
The metal body weighed heavily in her hand as she hurled it across the battlefield. Striking a recovering warrior's chest.
Not wanting them to come back into the fight, she charged at him. Bringing down her axe with great power on the crown of his head.
As the blood erupted out, it continued raising into the sky. Where Valentine kept dancing. Gloria screeched as she dove for another pick.
It was a risky move for them, considering Trijunn was active on the ground. Steadily bringing down the living statue.
He jumped from rooftop to rooftop, avoiding the rogue blood splatters. Right as the houses came to an end, Trijunn leapt up to the statue. It turned its attention to him.
One large hand opened up to catch the incoming Feral, exactly what he wanted. Once he was in a stable position, he took off up its arm. Heartbeat got louder, telling him he was close to a weak point.
Right over the statue's neck, Trijunn jumped upward. Prompting the statue to look up to face its opponent. Completely oblivious of what he wanted to do.
Trijunn came down like a lightning strike, shattering its forehead. Blood shattered, mimicking how the marble would have behaved. As he was recovering, the statue reached up, successfully snatching the Feral.
It then planted the spear, tip pointing upward. He watched the statue lift him over the sharp tip. Ready to cut right through him. So he allowed it to believe what it wanted.
Without a moment of hesitation, the statue drove the Feral straight to the tip of the spear. It's hand traveled through the spear itself, ensuring the Feral was dead.
Until it realized Trijunn survived. He laughed at the statue's failed attempt at killing him. It was expressionless as it tried bringing the mocking Feral down again. Only to have the same result.
Trijunn slid down to the thumb, where he used that as a platform to burst out of the hand. Breaking right through, blood shattered as the Feral carelessly tore through the statue.
He redirected his entire body to drop right onto the statue's broken face. Ready to end the creation's reign. Until a black Sky Beast caught him mid air.
Gloria screeched, triumphantly announcing their arrival. Causing Trijunn to feel the pressure in his veins. Valentine pulled back, guiding his Sky Beast to rocket upwards.
Before the beast could reach maximum height, Trijunn shook his body. Causing Gloria to lose her grip and let go of the much smaller Feral.
He held onto one of her talons, using it to hold for as long as he could. When Valentine evened Gloria, Trijunn pulled with all his strength then let go. Causing him to come face to face with the rider.
Valentine watched in shock as the Feral landed on his Sky Beast's back. He readied himself to unleash a powerful gust of blood induced wind to knock the Feral off.
Only to receive a powerful kick to the face. Bare foot clashed with Valentine's mask, dazing him for a brief amount of time. In that amount of time, Trijunn directed the Sky Beast into a dive.
While Trijunn was busy, Valentine delivered an elbow strike directed to Trijunn's back. Hoping to strike a nerve to paralyze him for a while, only for it to fail.
"Infinus Legion," Trijunn's voice seethed with rage. "You killed my fellow Feral alphas, even took the life of my own alpha. Now you've come to claim Vomnichto?"
"No, we don't care about this city," Valentine replied. "However, we do care about our leaders. And you claimed the head of our spear."
Trijunn roared, stunning Gloria and dazing Valentine. Then, he jumped off the beast. Allowing it to crash through a building.
Walls designed to withstand the elements crumbled as a beast and a rider stepped through. Weakening the structure as they passed through.
Outside, Trijunn caught onto the opening. He climbed inside, ready to confront his victims head on. Debris cleared, making it easier to see anything inside.
Valentine struggled to get back up. Eyes squinted, baring the pain in his bones from the impact. Through the distant explosions and crumbling defenses, Valentine heard the footsteps of a predator.
"Your friend has stopped moving... did it hit itself too hard?" Trijunn mocked. "At least it ceases where it belongs, inside this Legion."
"Uh - uh... ha... ha-ha... ah..." Valentine hysterically laughed.
Trijunn smiled even wider. Realizing this was the breaking point in the Thawed's mind. He stood taller as his opponent struggled to get back on to his feet.
Valentine's eyes glowed in a crimson fury. Gloria, his long time beastly buddy has fallen. No matter how hard he would have tried, the roar dazed her. Making her lose control of herself, which led to this.
In her memory, Valentine was keen to end Trijunn's life. The second he got on both legs, he charged at the Feral. Picking him up as the two rapidly approached the hole.
"You're foolish thinking your anger can injure me!" Trijunn mocked.
Together, they were washed over by sunlight as they fell. In seconds, they both hit the ground. Then the fight over who was on their feet first began.
With every attempt made by Valentine, Trijunn would counter it by kicking or striking. Making it difficult to stand up and adding more pressure.
Giving his foe an advantage over him. Next thing Valentine knew, Trijunn had his jaws unlocked and primed for the massacre.
