-Etek Dur, same day-
Kellenas watched from above. His knees bent with his back straight, allowing himself to balance on the branch he stood on. Two orange eyes stared down at the fighting happening below.
Heartbeat slowed, instincts took over. The world matched the speed of his heart, slow and steady. Giving him an opportunity to stalk the battlefield.
Sernatacus roared, enraged. Two beastly hands wrapped around the back of two Feral's necks, before bashing both of their heads together. Creating an explosion of gore.
Coating the alpha in red. Unfazed, he smiled. Eyes stared up at those around him, looking for a new victim.
"Deterna," Kellenas' voice thundered. "We are going home."
He leapt off the branch, landing on a Light Feral. It tumbled to the ground, helplessly trying to crawl away from the dominant Feral. But to no use. Kellenas stomped on its head and grabbed its arm.
It stopped fighting, realizing its time alive was over. And allowed him to tear out its arm. It effortlessly flew off its socket, pouring blood on the already battered dirt.
Two more Ferals came to challenge him. They growled while lowering themselves, trying to find an opportunity for a killing blow. But instead found themselves getting butchered by two ambushing females.
Off in the distance, Kellenas saw a familiar face. He watched as his remaining Ferals were slaughtered by the dozens. Just by looking at him, Kellenas could tell his mind was screaming calamity at him.
But that's what he wanted. To come face to face with the one that ordered this assault, Dire. Kellenas took his first step forward, arm still in hand.
One lone Feral tried to challenge him. In response, Kellenas drove the arm against the side of its head. They stumbled back into the claws of a female. She swept the back of its legs, sending them crashing onto the ground.
Before a nearby male stomped on its head. Starting its death timer.
Instinctively, each Light Feral backed off. They bowed their heads in unison at a much stronger alpha, trying to not get killed on the spot for trying to strike back.
Kellenas stopped before a kneeling male. The two locked eyes. One pleaded for mercy while the other seethed with anger.
"If what you seek is my mercy, then you'll do as I say. Does that connect?" Kellenas' raspy voice cut into the Feral's heart.
He nodded in response, hoping to not accidentally anger him.
"Rally all those who kneel and standby. I have a little test for all of you."
The Feral got up and quickly did as he was told. Going from Feral to Feral, telling them what their 'new Alpha Male' ordered. Desperately trying to prove his loyalty.
Dire noticed Kellenas approach. Instead of standing back and watching his forces get slaughtered, he marched forward. Mentally preparing to bring someone else with him to hell.
"What you did that morning was a move only a coward would think of," Kellenas barked. "Now I am going to treat you like the coward that you are."
"Even if you couldn't treat your wounded? You're only here because of them, not you. So come then, show me what a frightened pup can do," Dire spat back.
Both of their arms shot up, preparing for the ensuing brawl.
Kellenas made the first move, he swung from his right hand. Despite how powerful the hit was, Dire blocked it. But could barely prepare for the left punch.
Realizing his defenses were occupied, Kellenas delivered another blow to the stomach. It landed perfectly, forcing Dire's arms to come down. But just as they did, Kellenas drove that same fist into his nose.
A nasty crunch came out at the same time blood began oozing out. Before Dire retreated, Kellenas grabbed his shoulders and brought his entire upper body down to meet his knee.
Dire recoiled back from the devastating attack, hoping to regain some power. Yet Kellenas wanted to make it clear it was him who was in charge of this brawl by kicking him in the chest.
He collapsed to the ground. Dust kicked up as he fell down. Battered and punished, Dire knew no end. It was his turn to make Kellenas bleed.
As Kellenas approached, Dire shot up and struck his stomach. Barely damaging Kellenas, making him grow confident.
"You talked about yourself as so powerful. Come then, I'm waiting," Kellenas taunted.
Which was exactly what Dire wanted. So he continued to attack, each blow landed faster and harder than the last. Until it was actually damaging.
Hit after hit, Kellenas suffered. He tried stumbling away from the encounter, but Dire kept up his pressure by grabbing the back of Kellenas' head and repeatedly battered on it with his other fist.
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! That's what you are. Every day, every attack. You 'mighty beast,' you. Couldn't handle a little war and came back to kill my men!" Dire spat.
Hearing his voice angered Kellenas enough to have the adrenaline rush to catch the next fist. Kellenas pulled him closer into an elbow, striking him on the forehead.
Before letting go, Kellenas effortlessly tossed Dire across the clearing. Landing against a tree. Shaking it from the impact.
"Your tongue hurts more than your fists," Kellenas barked back.
Realizing he was getting into his mind, Dire taunted him again. "So sad. So sad, indeed. Sad, very sad. But not as sad as seeing you and your pack crawl away from us after that attack."
Kellenas narrowed his eyes, preparing to tear him into bits. The first blow came down to injure, but instead got caught by Dire's arms. He reacted by throwing a barrage of fists to Kellenas' face.
Each one landed perfectly. After one blow sliced a wound on his face, Kellenas felt the urge to respond with even greater fury.
He ducked underneath an incoming fist, sending his own storming into a clean hit on Dire's gut. Dazing the Feral for a moment, allowing him to drive another fist against his face.
Throwing his head back, Kellenas sent another. This time stunning him.
Given the opportunity, he took two steps back and then charged at him with a well placed kick to Dire's chest. Sending the Feral through the tree.
It shattered in half as the Light Alpha of Alphas fell through. Dire rolled onto his knees, trying his best to get up before Kellenas got there.
But failed. He grabbed Dire by the hair and lifted his head up.
"You bleed now, but this isn't your end. Not yet," Kellenas teased.
In one last ditch effort to escape, Dire grabbed his hand and bit down. Several dagger-like teeth sunk into his flesh, seriously injuring it.
But in the moment, Kellenas didn't care. So he ripped out his hand from out of Dire's mouth. Surprising him as he watched Kellenas free himself.
Using his other hand, Kellenas grabbed Dire by the hair and sent his head into the dirt. Defeated and understanding, Dire kept his head down. Waiting for another opportunity to strike.
Yet was punished even further by Kellenas grabbing his arm and planting his foot on the elbow. With that, he recklessly pulled the arm back. It effortlessly snapped.
The bone poked out, giving the executioner a perfect opportunity to see how a snake looked like when it was opened up. Not wanting to let this pristine tool go to waste, Kellenas drove it into the dirt.
"ARGH! YOU F- "
Kellenas stomped on his head. "Shut the hell up."
He reached for one of Dire's legs. Holding it carefully in his hands before swallowing every ounce of rage left in his body. One knee planted below Dire's knee and a hand on the shin, another on the lower thigh.
Effortlessly and quickly, Kellenas broke the leg. Dividing it in two, leaving Dire in agony. But he was not done yet, he wanted Dire to feel more than just his leg broken in half.
Without a second thought and the desire for violence, Kellenas stomped on the leg and tore it off using his hands. Blood poured out of the wound, starting the last few moments Dire had left alive.
"Every new Feral. Come here," Kellenas ordered the survivors.
Without questions, they hurried by his side. Trying to please him so they could survive for another night.
Infinus Ferals followed behind. Making sure nothing was going to happen between Kellenas and them during this moment of tension.
"Your 'Alpha Male...' he had such a big mouth, if only his strength matched it. So to welcome you all into the Legion, I want to test if your strength is bigger than your mouths," Kellenas began.
Each Feral stepped back as he turned around to face them.
"He is in great pain. So roll him over. Once you've done that, each one of you rip out one tooth. Then stab it into his body. It doesn't matter where," Kellenas instructed.
Once he stepped aside, they did was they were told. One by one, each Feral cast their shadows over their defeated alpha. Watching him lay head down on the ground with the knowledge that he is still alive.
Capable of conveying his emotions and pleas for an early death. But they couldn't grant that kind of luxury, not when they were being administrated by a much more powerful force.
