Vildix wildly sprinted towards a group of warriors trying to escape from under the descending Weaver's body. Their desperate stampeding encouraged the impending butcherer.
A good kind of music to him. The lure of a kill and satisfaction of a clean execution called to him. Kicking his predator instincts into overdrive.
The blade of a fine sword struck the side of several Variant's knees. Injuring them enough to slow them down by a significant amount.
While they tried to recover, Vildix ran right past them. And went in for another attack on more warriors. The blade successfully injured them, which caused them to stumble or even give up.
By now the Weaver was close to touching the ground. Vildix could tell by his body overheating. His decorated armor would soon become his own grave if he didn't move fast enough.
Instead of going for another attack, he slid his weapon into its sheathe. The entire sword hung from his lower back, allowing him to move his arms without worry.
He pushed everyone out of his way. A storm made specifically to set up victims for a fiery death rampaged through the fleeing warriors.
Explosions went off in the background as the Pyroatic Weaver's body began to disappear in a violent blast. Sections of its body touched the scorched fields at a time.
Right before they caught up to Vildix, he leapt forward. He ducked his head and allowed himself to roll back on his feet. Eyes turned to the explosions.
The face of the Weaver lifelessly stared at its superior. Like wise. Vildix stared into its open beak. The raging inferno inside lit up and torched everything around it.
All while more explosions went off in the background, the sound of a Trijunn forcing Cemtrin to hurl their explosives up to the skies. Accidentally blowing up their own aerial support.
"Crazy Feral bastard. You live up to your expectations as a goliath hunter," Vildix jokingly thought to himself.
Two heavy feet planting themselves on the ground behind him. Catching his attention from the Weaver.
Decka stood tall like a tower, waiting for his opposition to rise up to his challenge. His shield weighed his entire arm down. The weapon, modified by Hedix' genius, prepared to test its mettle against a true warrior.
Vildix got up from his knees, hands reaching down for his weapon. The sword roared to life as its tip fell to the ground.
"Look at where you stand, Vildix. Such a warrior who proved his prowess in battle, being talked down by a tyrant. Do you see your error?" Decka's calm voice pierced his ears.
"You're a traitor because of it, are you not?" Vildix shifted his body to meet Decka's. "Because you couldn't handle a spicy tongue that humbled you."
Decka chuckled. "What humbles me more than my Quinn and my future kids? Not that creature that you call your leader."
From his left shoulder, a head poked its eyes out. Silsa rested inside a pouch wrapped around Decka's shoulder. The weightless Yonie helped ensure the safety of their men.
But even he understood safety was a concept when facing off one of Kas' finest.
Vildix charged towards his new victims. Blade dragged behind, building up moment for their first strike. He lifted the weapon up, then brought it down with as much force as he could.
A shield to rival his blade shot up to confront it. The noise of two powerful metals colliding sent chills down both of their spines. What were once allies were now opposing warriors wishing death on each other.
Yet that was then, not now. Decka pushed Vildix's sword away from him, letting him get closer to Vildix. Since he was not expecting to get rivaled by his former ally, Vildix didn't know how to counter.
Giving Decka the perfect opportunity to strike Vildix in the chest. The punch was perfectly placed to throw off his shoulder's positions.
Before he could recover, Decka landed a well-placed kick to his face. Sending the elite stumbling back in hopes of recovering.
"Yeah! Go kick his butt!" Silsa cheered.
Hearing the Yonie's innocent voice encouraging him caught Decka off guard. He expected Silsa to be hiding away from the fight.
Vildix quickly recovered. Fury took over his blood, driving him to a point where the line between overkill and killing instincts didn't exist.
He charged towards them once again. Decka readied his shield for an attack, waiting for his opponent to land another blow right on his shield.
And when Vildix attacked, it went right where he wanted it to. He twisted his arm, causing a layer of metal to come out from under the razor part of his shield. It caught Vildix's sword by the blade.
Something Vildix wanted. He hoped Decka would grapple his weapon. After a split second, Vildix reached the blade with both hands. Then he yanked it free and spun behind Decka's vision.
While away from his sight, Vildix caught the back of Decka's knees on the blade. Then he applied as much force as he could, making the Infinus elite tumble to the ground.
On impact, bones crushed under the weight of Zegus and metal. The cue to return to his feet in an instant.
Decka tried to stand back up, but Vildix's shadow loomed over his armor. The elite admired his work, taking in all the details before striking Decka out.
Silsa hugged Decka's head. "I - I'm sorry, Denny. B - but I am hurt, a lot. Bye, b - bye. I love you and good luck, D - Denny!"
With that, Silsa imagined himself back inside the warm grasp of a Zesher. Making him disappear from Decka's back, allowing the Zegus to fight back with full force.
"Look at you, Decka. Oh, how far from grace you've fallen. You and I could have led a push into Yarno, helped escort Felisis back to our Light and even gained praise. But you decided to throw it away," Vildix bitterly commented.
He brought down the tip of his sword onto Decka's chest. But Decka was quick to pull up his shield and protect himself.
"You don't get it. I don't need to be talked down by someone who I have yet to see in combat. I am not deaf like you. I know my friends and foes," Decka sharply replied.
Vildix planted a foot on Decka's thigh, pinning the elite in place. "Then you must be blind, I see him taking down your own warriors by hand without a weapon just a little ways away from us."
He reached down for the shield. Decka knew a counter to a situation like this, so he allowed Vildix to take control of the situation with ease.
After ripping his shield away from him, Vildix expected to dig his sword into the Zegus and swiftly finish the battle. Until Decka shook his entire body, causing Vildix to lose his balance and fall to one knee.
Decka quickly got up before Vildix could. He landed a perfect knee to his shoulder, opening Vildix's body to several attacks. Something he took advantage of.
In a swift motion, Decka wrapped Vildix's neck in a chokehold. And instantly, Vildix knew what was happening. Decka was closely interested in Code of the Faceless, but not enough to dawn a faceless mask.
Vildix brought his entire body forward, bringing Decka along. The Zegus flew over his head and landed on the ground in front of him. Before he could even get on his stomach, Vildix aggressively hammered his face.
Punch after punch, Decka's face began getting bloody by the second. Vicious hits began to take away his consciousness by the second.
Until a furious Feral's roar encouraged Decka to continue fighting. Kellenas brushed off his wounds enough to get back into the action.
Vildix was caught off guard by the sudden interference. But the Feral that he had just angered was there for a brawl.
Kellenas tackled Vildix off Decka. The two Variants landed a few steps away from the fallen Zegus.
While Vildix fought to get back on his feet, Kellenas accepted the battle for what it was: a ground match. He shifted his body to allow himself some easy kicks to the side of Vildix's head.
Decka got up from the ground, before going to attack his aggressor, the two-handed sword caught his attention. It rested on darkened grass, waiting for someone to pick it up. A wish Decka granted.
He stood over Vildix and Kellenas, ready to penetrate armor using his new-found toy. Until someone else interfered.
Trijunn drove a perfect punch to the side of his head. Turning the two on one battle into a two against two. While not too far from them, Jakery stood face to face with Kas.
