Later that day, Pearl, along with Suth, prepared the modifications for delivery. Everything was forged with the exact materials the blueprints needed. With no twists of any kind.
Each and every piece was of Hedix's vision, and the craft was of the Armory's finest. It was perfection if it was weapon parts.
Pearl and Suth located Decka and Ether. The two continued working on training Ether to becoming powerful enough to handle Kas and his elites.
When they arrived, they watched Decka grapple the back of Ether's head before delivering a harsh knee to his chin. The Zesher fell on his back, dazed.
"Hey! Careful with that guy, he's my mate!" Pearl's bitter voice demanded Decka.
He heard her harsh voice, and understood. Decka effortlessly picked up Ether, bringing him back on his feet.
"Your mate has an interesting amount of stamina and durability. Is he the same when night rolls around?" Decka grinned.
Pearl ignored his comment. She placed the strange blades down by the fences before rushing to Ether's side. When she got there, she began looking all over him for any serious damages.
Thankfully, there were none. Ether was okay, for the most part.
After realizing who was checking on him, he instantly began to shower Pearl with affection. His arms wrapped around her and soft Yonie voice began to mimic some Thawed chants she taught him.
"Yutabo! Yutabo! Satasu!" Ether's gleeful voice chanted.
Pearl hugged him back, trying to match his level of love. But it was impossible, especially when he deployed a special charm of his. Not the Yonie voice. But the gentle rumbling of his belly.
"I got something for you, little Yonie," Pearl happily said.
Ether pulled back, his two big green eyes stared at her with joy as she let go. The excitement in them was noticeable, something Suth saw.
Which piqued her interest. She wondered how Ether managed to do so much yet continue with his genetics. He wasn't built to rough other Variants up; he had the shape of a Yonie/Yomie hybrid.
Pearl brought the blades over to him. Four flawless pieces of perfection rested in her hands as she showed it off to her mate. And Ether loved him.
He didn't know what they were, or what their purpose was. But he saw himself in the reflection. Although it was a separate 'him.'
This version of himself looked odd. He didn't have the puffy hair from before; instead, he noticed his hair was now starting to fall to his shoulders.
"I can tell what you're looking at. And yeah, I heard of Thawed confused about you. Since you were so small had hair so smooth and long... well you can imagine why they were confused," Pearl commented.
"Any who. These are special blades made from Laledonatis, it's one of those materials that's on par with Crimsonaity. It's powerful because Tellendor could be anything you want it to be now," Pearl explained.
Ether shrugged off his overgrown hair, shifting his attention to Tellendor. The weapon rested beside Orako, under a small spot covered with leaves made to keep the little cub inside.
Orako held onto the sheathe. His tiny hands gripped tight to the weapon for an unknown reason. Pearl's most logical conclusion came from the fact Ether told him how many times Tellendor saved him.
Ether gently picked up Orako along with Tellendor. Orako tightened his grip on the weapon as Ether began to walk to Pearl. He understood how much this weapon meant to him.
"Neddy, when can you teach me Feral moves?" Orako's shy voice asked Ether.
He looked down at his cub. "But I am not a Feral... how about I teach you Yonie?!"
Pearl intently watched her family interact with one another. It still amazed her, seeing a Yonie and a Feral end up with such a tight bond.
Usually, Yonies would be at the mercy of Ferals. But now, a Feral was dependent on a Yonie to survive. And Ether was glad to provide.
When they came face to face, Orako handed over the weapon to Pearl. She picked it up and unsheathed it. The pale leather cover fell to the yellowish ground.
Pearl clipped the first attachment to it. The two metals made a sharp ding noise after getting hooked together, until something went wrong.
The Laledonatis suddenly turned to liquid. It melted to the ground below them before regaining its sturdiness and hardening again.
Everyone stared at the metal. It has never done that before, not even with the prototypes of Tellendor. Pearl felt shocked by this, it was supposed to be a special gift for Ether. But it didn't work.
She quickly clipped another blade to Tellendor's own blade. The result was the same. It liquified and hardened once it was away from Tellendor's distance.
"Um... what is Tellendor made from?" Pearl asked in awe.
"Crimsonaity I think," Ether confidently replied.
But that answer made no sense. Tellendor was a blueish-silver, while Crimsonaity was a more vicious red. Not just that, but Tellendor had proper weight to it.
Everything was made from the same metal. The hilt, blade, even core, everything was made from the same material. But it wasn't lightweight.
Suth got closer. She studied the weapon, making sure to repaint a perfect picture inside her mind. Every small detail, from the carving saying 'Tellendor' to the stainless reflections.
"Well, does Tellendor have any special traits?" She asked.
Ether tilted his head in curiosity. "Special traits? Hmm... maybe? Does feeling completely drained after using it count?"
"If that's how you feel after using that weapon, then that means Tellendor can be traced to be a weapon made from Laledonatis. Some of them can drain the energy of the wielder," Suth explained.
Pearl lifted Tellendor up. She examined the hilt for any evidence. But found nothing. Suddenly, Tellendor sparked a huge interest in everyone's minds.
No one knew what it exactly was. Laledonatis changed a weapon in its entirety with no effort whatsoever. But Tellendor has never done this before.
It has always remained a double-bladed weapon made for severing and chopping.
But it wasn't Crimsonaity either because it had weight to the weapon. And the colors didn't match. But it couldn't be a mix of both metals.
Laledonatis is rumored to be a metal made from the Seventh Rule's interest. Being powerful enough to show off its might and strength at any given moment.
While Crimsonaity was supposed to be a metal to break apart those that struggle through life from those that take the easy routes.
If the two were two interact with each other in any way, the two would figure out a way to escape from the other. They were never meant to be put together if their purposes were different.
"Ether, what else can you tell us about this weapon?" Suth urged him.
He stared up at Tellendor. After briefly looking at the entire weapon, he reached up and waited. In seconds, a silver-blue mist encased the weapon.
The mist disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Making it look like an endless show of mystic energy.
"I think I know why Tellendor is the way it is," Suth reached for the handle. "Because it's tied to you. Not physically, nor mentally, but on a different level."
Suth gripped the handle, then drove the weapon between Ether's eyes. Just when Pearl and Decka were about to jump in to handle the situation, they realized Ether was unphased.
His eyes looked at the tip pointed at the top of his nose. So Suth tried, but this time on a different target.
Tellendor thundered towards Pearl's heart. Upon contact, the weapon suddenly refused to injure. It remained pointing at her heart.
"...What..?" Pearl's frightened voice murmured.
"Like I thought. This isn't Laledonatis or Crimsonaity. This is Laledonatis Primed. Ether, were any of your parents Primed?" Suth waited for confirmation.
Ether simply shook his head. "I don't know what a 'Primed' is."
Suth stepped back in shock. It was impossible for Tellendor to be made from Laledonatis Primed. There was no way for anyone, including Thawed, to get their hands on Primed resources.
Unless they themselves were primed. The Coros lineage hasn't had a Primed member since a Feral named Yoratte Coros. Who was the first member of the lineage to catch the Nine's attention.
Not much is known about her and her pack. But what was known was the existence of her Gate and the access to a grander version of Koroth.
"Well... all I can say now is Tellendor was passed down from generation to generation since the first member of your lineage. Only material to do something like this has been Laledonatis Primed," Suth explained.
Ether looked skeptical. He didn't understand what she meant. Tellendor wasn't passed down from generations, it was made right before his eyes when he was younger. Since the day of its creation, it has been hidden away and kept a secret from the rest of the world.
Perhaps the truth behind it was the reason it was kept a secret. Maybe that reason was why Solice told Ether to never use that 'illegal weapon.'
But for now, Tellendor was an ordinary weapon doing ordinary weapon things. It has never been special, nor will it ever be. From its creation to its destruction, Tellendor will always be a normal sword.
