Chapter 28 - A/N Chapter 26 Sera's Back

Today's the day Sera's going back to school with us, and word about it spread like wildfire throughout the crowded halls of Wellston Highschool. I am currently walking towards the headmaster's office, but this time John was walking with me.

"Why do you think the headmaster sent us that notice, about moving to the dorms? " The boy beside me asked as we got closer and closer to the headmaster's office.

" Well, I guess we'll find out"

I knocked on the door three times before a voice said "Come in" I opened the door revealing the headmaster, drinking a cup of coffee.

"Uh...hello, Sir," John spoke up beside me.

"Ah, John and Crystal! What brings you two here today?" The green-haired man said as John closed the door.

"Please have a seat!"

"No thank you, we prefer standing up. And we just wanted to quickly talk about the notice you sent us today."

The headmaster took a glance at us "Oh? What about it?" John dropped his hands on the wooden desk as he looked at the headmaster. "Sir, with all due respect. You don't need to move us onto campus. We are doing as fine as we are." John protested as I stood beside him with my arms crossed. The green-haired headmaster placed his cup of coffee back down onto the table before speaking.

"John, Crystal, this isn't negotiable. I've already made arrangements for your rooms. After school, you'll pack your belongings, and Keene will help you bring them to where you'll be staying. Here, you'll be under the protection of the staff."

" But sir, We can take care of ourselves! Nothing bad has happened around my condo since the incident so why am I here?" I decided to join the conversation.

"Not sure that's a valid claim anymore, especially after what happened last Friday. My top students were injured by a group of unknowns. I can't let that slide."

He turned towards John "John, they have your house marked. I don't care how strong you are, it's not safe there."

He then turned towards me. "And you Crystal won't be safe anymore, they have seen your face before, so they'll try tracking you down. It's best if you transfer to the dorms."

"What? But sir-!"

"Then why not move Crystal and me to a different housing complex or something?"

"No" is all the headmaster said as he drank the rest of his cup of coffee.

"SIR! Please! I really don't want to be around the other students"

"I agree with John sir" we pleaded to try to convince the green-haired man. He looked at both of us for a second. "No. You'll move into the dorms. That's Final."

"But-"

"John, that's enough. You both are dismissed." I turned around and left the office, there's no point in staying there any longer, there's no chance of changing his mind now.

It was lunchtime, I was now getting some food while John went on ahead up to the rooftop. Once I got my food I quickly left the canteen and into the halls.

But just as I was about to round around a corner someone bumped into me as my food fell on the ground, luckily I didn't buy any drinks today or else my uniform would have been ruined. I gritted my teeth, I used up the last of my allowance to buy this food! And now it's all on the floor. I snapped my head towards the person who bumped into me, and it was none other than...yup you guessed it's Asslo, oh I mean Arlo.

I bent down to pick up what's left of my food. But to my surprise Arlo bent down to help me, he started picking up the bits and pieces of my food. After we cleaned up the mess I looked up at the blonde boy with my arms crossed across my chest, while raising an eyebrow at him. But him being him just shrugged his shoulders then went his way.

"Hey! Aren't you forgetting something?" I called out to him as he stopped in his tracks and turned to face me.

"What else do you need?" He said slightly irritated, is he seriously the one getting mad now?

"You owe me food now," I said slightly smirking. He narrowed his eyes at me before speaking.

"You bumped into me, so it's not my fault you dropped your food. And besides, I already helped you"

This little Asslo!...

"Well...I didn't ask for your help in the first place. You did it yourself" I said.

Arlo was about to protest again but quickly shut his mouth, turned around, and started walking, so he did learn his lesson about underestimating people huh?

"Hey! are you coming or not?" Arlo shouted as he was almost out of sight. Or maybe not

"Coming!" I shouted back as I quickly ran catching up to the blonde king.

As we walked closer and closer to the cafeteria people started looking at us whisper things to each other.

"Hey, isn't that Arlo? why is he walking beside that low-tier?"

"Yeah, why hang out with a low-tier like her instead of hanging out with the high-tiers?"

I quietly chuckled to myself as I heard some of the student's remarks.

Hahaha, they think we're hanging out? Hah! No way, not this casual at least. It's his fault anyway for bumping into me like that, now he has to pay the price.

Arlo must've heard me because the next thing I knew was that he was looking at me with disgust in his eyes.

"Weirdo.."

My ears perked up and I just rolled my eyes in distaste.

"Says the king of assholes..." I muttered under my breath, squinting my eyes in anger.

The blonde boy just shrugged his shoulders.

"So...what do you want?" Arlo stopped walking and turned to me as we stood in the middle of the cafeteria. I thought for a moment before looking back at him.

"I guess a sandwich and maybe a hash brown would do," I said, as he raised an eyebrow at me.

"That isn't even a proper meal" He commented. The heck, why does he care about what I want to eat.

"Why do you care?" I asked the blonde boy as we had a little staring contest before he looked away. Gosh, he's acting so weird lately. As Arlo walked up to the counter to get me the food I just stood at the corner of the canteen playing "Among us" on my phone along with John and Sera. Dammit, John!! I swear if you're the impostor, I gonna-! My track of thoughts stopped as I notice 3 girls standing in front of me, I glanced at them before looking back at my phone continuing to mind my own business. But I guess they wanted me to notice them because this 1 girl suddenly kicked my leg hard making me gasp.

"Try ignoring us any longer and you'll get more than just a kick!" The girl snickered at me as I balanced myself, I started getting more and more pissed by the minute. I glared at her for a second as she did the same with a smirk on her bitch face. I am calm, I won't get mad, let's what she has to say first shall we?

"What do you want?" I asked bluntly while crossing my arms over my chest, gripping my phone to keep my calm.

"Oh! NOW she wants to talk! I guess a kick is all it needs for someone like her to listen to us." Another girl said while chuckling at her own little joke as the other 2 started chuckling with her. I gripped my phone tighter and tighter, breathe in and breathe out. I took a deep breath before giving them an "Are you serious expression".

"Is that all you bitches wanted to say?" I asked slightly smirking while keeping my poker face on. The girl in the middle gritted her teeth and clenched her fist as she launched towards me with her fist ready to punch.

"What did you say you f*cking low-tier?" I swiftly dodged her attempt to hit me. I just wanted to get some food, is that so hard to ask? As I was dodging the girl's attack I forgot the other two were there, so they took this opportunity to grab both my arms making it hard to defend myself. One of the girls who wasn't holding my arms began walking towards me with a full-on glare and her fist against the palm of her hand.

"Oh, you think your so sly you little b*tch!" She shouted at me as she punched me right in the guts. Ugh! That's gonna leave a bruise. The two girls started smirking, continuing to insult me.

"Ha! Not so tough now are you, you stupid low-tier." The three girls activated their ability as they dashed towards me, pushing me towards a small corner in the cafeteria. At this point everyone in the cafeteria stopped whatever they were doing and just witnessed what happened, some other mid and high-tiers started gossiping and whispering insults to one another while the low-tiers just stood there looking at me with pity and sadness in their eyes but they couldn't do anything. F*ck these stupid b*tches! I was trying so hard to hold back, but I guess they leave me no choice. Just as I was about to activate my ability and finally put these b*tches in their places, a familiar yellow barrier appeared in front of me just in time, before my face could collide with their fists.

...Arlo...
