"Nift, please be with me." I can feel her grasp getting much weaker as time passes. My mama, who was always by my side until her deathbed, follows me.
Before this all happened, we used to live in a secluded place alone, with no one else around. From any beasts or humans.
A small house that could withstand any calamity, Papa loved playing with me as my Mama happily watched from the window. It was something out of a children's fairytale, that I feel like a queen.
One day, my Papa received a letter in the middle of the night. I couldn't recall what happened, but my Papa sat perplexed in the middle of the living room.
My Papa always smiled no matter where we go, hunting, fishing, or any activity, he was happy. He even comforted me during a rainstorm, when scary thunderstorms loom over the area, he is always there.
Seeing him in that state made me feel sad. And in the next few hours, papa was gone. I tried reading the letter he read, but I couldn't understand anything.
My Mama woke up to see me looking at the letter. She looked at me, concerned. Mama told me to go back into my room and sleep.
Morning came by. Mama didn't wake me up like how she used to every day. I got up, tidied my bed, and returned to the living room.
I saw my mama, sitting on a chair, sleeping by the table. I tried to wake Mama up but she wouldn't respond.
Her body is hot as if a burning flame is inside of her. The last thing I remembered is our house being engulfed in fire.

And so, a few years have passed, and after my mama died a few hours ago, I'm now with Kash. I feel guilty when Mama passed away, her hand is stone-cold and lifeless.
"I hope you will find someone who'll guide you" is what my mama told me before she passed.
"Nift, lock the door," Kash said
"What are you gonna do?" I asked
He looked at me and smiled, "I will peer into the unknown."
Huh, what does he mean by that? He sounded like he has something up his sleeve.
Kash chucked, "Please guard me." as he tried to find a comfortable place to seat.
I nodded, "I'll try my best."
"Is this the guy you followed?" a black cat appeared right next to Nift that came out of nowhere.
"Ah, Haven. Are you awake now?" I asked.
"I'm standing in front of you awake, is that not enough?"
"You almost drowned while sleepwalking just a few hours ago, isn't that why you slept?"
The room went silent as Nift and Haven glared at each other with the intent of provocation. But then, out of nowhere, a wave of unknown mana began to ripple around the room.
Haven's avatar began to shake violently, causing him to disappear again. Nift wasn't safe either, but she held on and everything stopped later on.
"Hahh... Hahh. Hahhh..." I tried gasping for air as my lungs felt like it's gonna explode.
Did it come from Kash? The wave came from his direction, so I'm sure he did something. His body lay down forward after the ripple ended.
I checked his breathing by hovering my hand near his nose, and it was normal. I checked his pulse by pressing my finger against his wrist, and his heart is beating normally.
"That guy removed his soul." Haven suddenly reappeared with an astonished expression on his face.
"Removed his soul...?" I can't seem to get my eyes off Kash, who is technically dead.
"I don't know what he did, but he sure has a nasty ability. The Law of Causality is broken." Haven's attitude changed from a careless bystander to someone who devours rumors.
"I'm merely an avatar with the sole purpose of protecting you. I may be speaking too much but, can you do me a favor?" Haven looked at me with the intent of forgiveness and curiosity.
"Please be with him at all times." That is what Haven said to me before he disappeared again. It's been around 20 minutes since Kash slept. I wonder when will he wake up.
"This is more tiring than I thought" Kash carefully breathed slowly as he seemingly air-walked in the simplified space.
He tried to go even higher than the last attempts, but his body is mentally exhausted, and his feet is shaking rapidly. As I thought, Air suits me.
I've been using 「Akashic Records」for at least 20 minutes now. I learned a lot of things about this world. To give a summary, this world is led by the '7 Creare'
During that time, there was the being that the '7 Creare' cannot beat. A man who had the heart of the indomitable human spirit, and the body forged by darkness itself. The man started from the world of the '7 Creare' which was called 'Caeruleum Terra' back then.
The history was too long. So in short, The Man went against the gods, causing a catastrophic war between creation and creators. After the war had ended, no one emerged victorious. The Man went to the depths of space and the '7 Creare' rebuilt 'Caeruleum Terra'
'7 Creare' doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes, so they gave the people traits that are unique to their characteristics instead of power. They added different races as well and thus, a lot of time had passed.
It's a good story I might say. However, someone altered the history of the creation. For some reason, I cannot find it in the 「Akashic Records」. Well that aside, I learned mana and aura.
I tried using mana for my body, but it did not go well. It's as if my body reversed the circulation of my blood and contort. I would've died if not for my「Versatility」skill.
Aura is more suited for my body, and although it's less painful than what happened, I felt like I'd been reborn. My Left Eye rejects Aura though, so I used mana.
I might need a mirror to check my body later, but this should do for now, Nift is waiting for me. And so, I turned off「Akashic Records」and woke up with Nift sleeping on the floor.
"Hey, Wake up." I nudged Nift on her shoulder and she immediately jolted. Her cat ears stood up straight as soon as I said her to wake up.
Hm..? There are traces of mana. Mostly near Nift, I can see faint white lines waving through the air, and suddenly disappearing.
Nift grabbed me by the end of my shirt and proceeded to climb on my shoulder. "I want to sleep for a while, let's climb that big clock."
I chuckled and stood up to exit the room. Since I got what I wanted, It was time to climb the clock tower. I learned some cool skills this time, but I'm too lazy to check my stats.
After exiting the building, I noticed there are more people than usual to the point I might get lost in the crowd. The funny thing is, I have the perfect ability for this.
'Flashpoint' is a skill that I learned during my time on「Akashic Records」. It's not perfect but I got the basics down. To use the skill, you would have to coat your whole body with Aura.
After coating yourself with Aura, you would have to imagine a line from your place to an area where you want to go. After that, you'll have to stir your Aura, forming 2 vortexes from your heel.
The downside is if you don't trust the line you've imagined, you will fly uncontrollably and possibly injure yourself. With that in mind, all you need to do is release it.
Before you would know it, you would already have reached your destination. And here I am, on the roof of the clock tower. From the people's perspective, it would've just been a strong gust of wind.
Looking at the clock tower and seeing the view of the whole citadel, it's massive. At the center of the citadel, there are gray walls that seem to pierce the sky. Around the gray walls are large obelisks that carry far greater power than what I can imagine.
I can see a valley behind the gray wall, that seems to stretch for eternity, harboring protection and safety for those in front of it. Sunset is approaching and I'm tired. Probably because of 「Akashic Records」side effects.
"This is a nice view," Nift said while half-asleep.
I smiled and said, "I agree."
Honestly, I could stare at the view for hours. It's as if... This world is telling me not to leave. I can probably start a new life here instead of trying to go back to my previous world.
Maybe I should stay here for longer. But what about my parents? Are they worried about me? I... Don't know. I'll have to rethink my choices before setting myself a goal.
I looked at the view for the last time before going down to go back to the hospital. But before I can go down, I think I heard a familiar explosion.
