(Third Person)
---------------
There the black furred, golden eyed Wolf God sat, in all his majesty, looking down at a much smaller figure.
This small figure, left infront of his shrine, was to be a sacrifice to him. Possibly to curry his favor.
The Wolf God is not just the god of wolves. He was the God of the Hunt as well. There is nothing more enjoyable than hunting with his pack, running full speed to chase prey, and the gratification of eating the first bite of a successful hunt. Sacrifices are meaningless to him, and maybe even offensive.
The smaller figure just stood there, looking down at her feet. She had long golden hair, green-hazel eyes and long pointy ears. She had a pretty face and looked to be no older than 15. She wore a slightly worn but clean white dress that complimented her moderate figure.
Wolf God: "Who are you, little one? I was not aware of any of The Creation God's children living near my domain."
The small elf shook at the Wolf God's imposing deep voice.
She kneeled down and put her head to the grass.
She-Elf: "P-please, O God of Wolves, I offer my life on behalf of my clan, i-in exchange for your protection."
The large Wolf God narrowed his eyes.
Wolf God: "Hmpf... I do not claim the life of one who is offered to me. I am The God of the Hunt, not of sacrifice. I will not take the life of one that is just given to me, much less the lives of the children of my friend."
The elf looked up in surprise and slight relief, then quickly turn to one of sadness.
The Wolf God did not miss the look of relief the elf had and narrowed his eyes further.
Wolf God: "Why is it you want to be sacrificed? I sense that you do not want to die."
She-Elf: "I... it's my clan. We had fled our home due to the civil war in the Demon Empire. W-we are not too knowledgeable on the gods residing in this part of the continent. I volunteered as sacrifice as I had lost my family during our escape. Please, exchange my life for at least a little protection. Please...!"
The Wolf God laid down on all fours as the elf was explaining her plight, his eyes softening. He might look like an intimidating god, but he was an understanding god, and one who appreciates the courage it takes to give your life for others to live.
Wolf God: "I will not take your life."
The elf shivered and bowed her head further down into the ground.
She-Elf: "...please ... at least then-"
Wolf God: "But... for your courage, as cowardly as you may seem now, I will offer a few members of my pack to keep some danger away from your clan. Only until they find an area to settle in. You can go back to your clan."
The elf look up in surprise and hesitation.
She-Elf: "But- but I can't..."
Wolf God: "Oh? Why can you not?"
She-Elf: "Because I've already been marked for death. A dead clan member cannot go back to the clan as that is our law..."
The elf exposed part of her upper chest and a mark of a black skull can be clearly seen.
Wolf God: "Hmm... a curse magic that can prevent one from going to their blood-home..."
(A/N: Blood-home is basically the place where a person is born. Blood-homes can move when the people - in this case, the elf's entire clan - moves some place else. Home is where the clan is.)
She-Elf: "Yes... I cannot go back to my clan even if I wanted to. Please, if you are not going to take my life, at least let me repay you! I can cook! I... uh, I can clean! ... please...?"
The Wolf God looked at the elf in an amused surprise.
Wolf God: "Ah Haha! You are an interesting child! You have the nerve to request something from a god! Yes, fine, little one, you can serve me. What is your name?"
The elf's eyes widened in surprise. She had not actually expected the god to accept her.
She-Elf: "Yes! My name is Daria Vellwood. I come from my former home west from here. I hope to be useful to you O God."
Wolf God: "Well, little one, we wolves do not have a home. We go where the hunt takes us. Are you fine with travel?"
Daria: "Yes! I am my Lord's servant. I will accept anything you say. Having no home is fitting for myself, anyways..."
The elf stood and bowed deeply to the Wolf God.
Wolf God: "Then I shall give you a small blessing to help you be able to keep up with our travels."
The Wolf God stood and touched his nose to Daria's forehead, giving her the Blessing of the Wolf, granting her heightened stamina, endurance and speed. The Wolf God then turned around and looked back at Daria.
Wolf God: "Now, let us go Little Daria, we are following the Hunt further east."
Daria: "Yes, milord. I will follow you for the rest of my life!"
---------------
Daria was truly grateful to the Wolf God for giving her a second chance at life.
During their travel east, Daria had seen many things, and learned many things. She learned of the complicated human society, the simple beastkin society, and passionate demon society.
When the Wolf God and Daria settled in a secluded forest to get ready for the Wolf God's 'Hunt' many years had past and the once little elf had grown into a beautiful and strong elven woman.
It is also natural for the Wolf God to fall in love with the pretty elf, as his friend, the Creation God, had made his children attractive in the eyes of his fellow gods in order for them to interact with his children in hopes of making them strong.
The Wolf God also happened to enjoy Daria's cooking, having teased her by claiming her to be the Goddess of Cooking, much to Daria's embarrassment.
Hoping for their love to give form, The Wolf God had asked the Creation God to grant him the ability to impregnate Daria.
This ability is taxing to give to a non humanoid deity, as even the Creation God is not omnipotent.
To make it easier on the god, the Wolf God suggested to have part of his life force be used in the process.
With effort on both the Wolf God and the Creation God, they successfully implanted the Wolf God's life seed into Daria.
13 months later, the Demigod of Wolves was born in the eastern forest of the Sun Empire of Yami.
