I looked up into the sky then wiped the blood off of my forehead with my hands. She disappeared. I heard a loud boom that blew out my eardrums. I couldn't hear, just great. The next thing I felt was an extremely painful kick to the leg shattering my armor and my leg.
. Then a kick to my back sent me forward at a high speed. My hearing was back, but only just in time to hear the loud cracks, and the cracks of my bones flopped onto the floor.
Damn, that hurt a lot. I picked myself up from the floor weakly. At this point, I was bleeding from practically every part of my body. She stopped and her red glitchy electricity form was fading away. She was losing power.
That's almost the only weakness of her power. It takes up too much energy. And I'm handicapped because I can't use my power. I'd accidentally end up killing her. So how do I win? Stop holding back nope.
I need to grab her. I ran forward using phantom step, disappearing for a fraction of a second. Appearing on her upper left side as her eyes tracked my movements. I kicked her right on the side of the head.
I then stepped on Leona and grabbed her. I punched another strike another another another another. She then went limp, Leona was knocked out and the whites of her eyes were showing. Suddenly her eyes fluttered back to life, and she clenched her fists and rolled over, pinning me down as I did her.
A drop of blood got on my face. I was pinned down trying to find a way out of her grip. She got even closer to my face than before and closer and closer. Really up close and personal.
Then she headbutted me twice before the concrete broke and everything went white. Ow! "Damn. did I die?" Then all the color and my sight came back, and I was still pinned down and she was still really close to me. She fell down right on me. The body we were making contact but she wasn't hitting me she was actually knocked out this time. I hope
And her face was still really close to mine. I tried to push her off of my body but I failed and rolled over. Knocking her off anyway. The arena was died red from the blood and was cracked so far down that most of the ground was just rubber.
I stood up all the way with an odd lean to my posture, swaying back and forth I had won. I then fell flat on the ground and it was dark.
Raimy…
I'm worried. Did they fight too hard? No, no way. I could even tell that either of them wasn't trying to even permanently hurt the other. Sapphire could've won quickly if she had just used her power but she obviously didn't because she didn't want to accidentally kill Leona.
But I'm still worried about her. How long will it take for her to recover? How many broken bones this time? Will both of their ears be okay after this one? Leona's powered-up form had produced a sonic boom so loud it almost blasted my eardrums and everybody in the first three or so's eardrums.
In fact, my ears are still ringing, making it hard to think critically. I stared at the arena intently carrying both of them to the infirmary Sapphire had won. But it seems like that entire fight hurt like hell.
I rushed down the steps in a hurry. Hopefully, I can get there. Down to the infirmary to go and see Leona. I ran through the seats. "Hey!" I bumped into somebody. "Sorry! Sorry!" I kept running without turning back to make eye contact with the man.
Running through such a crowd was quite irritating. If only I could fly. Running into a hallway that was probably the one leading to the infirmary. That would be much better. I eventually ran into some security that was positioned at the two doors marked infirmary in red.
"Hey!" The guard put his hand in my face. "Why are you here? Are you hurt?" I scratched my face. "Nah, but my girlfriend is in there and my friend." "Okay, so why are you here?" "To see my girlfriend and talk to my friend." "Okay then, student id?" "Sure." I pulled out my student ID.
He scanned it with one of those scanners you see in checkout when you buy your groceries. The hospital staff was in a sort of panic right now. I then heard a scream.
It was Leona.
I ran towards the screaming it was Leona. Wait a minute, she can scream? What just happened? I kept running towards the screams. I stopped when I found the bed she was on the bed. All of her bruises and cuts were sealed with a sort of yellow substance, but she was still bleeding and she looked to be in more pain than last time.
She was spazzing out on the bed. I reached out to her and grabbed her hands with both of my hands. And enclosed them around her hands. "Shut her up! I can't focus!" The lean doctor yelled.
I looked up to the lead doctor, a blonde with long flowing hair that was tied up in a bun falling on top of her face slightly. Darker olive skin and brown eyes. "But she hasn't spoken fluently in years!? How is this happening?"
"What kid! Who let you in!" "The guards!" "Ugh, stupid guards oughta get em' fired after this." The doctor grumbled under her breath. She had her hands on Leona the entire time, pushing her down and healing her with her hand on Leona's head.
Oh, so that's how. Leona's speech issue is with the brain it must've finished healing by now and only needed a little push. Maybe I don't know I'm not a doctor. She was still screaming, though. Making the doctor's and nurses' jobs a lot harder.
Ugh. I wish I didn't have to do this. All the doctors are too busy holding her down. I got a sheet set aside to absorb blood from her wounds and stuffed it in Leona's mouth. She was still screaming, but it was muffled. "Thanks, kid. Now I can finally knock her out."
A slight change in green and Leona's screaming and spazzing was off. "Couldn't you have done that earlier!?" "Woah, Woah kid chills out with all the death, kill, hurt glare, will ya?" "And no I couldn't because obviously, it takes focus to do certain things."
I was still holding Leona's hand I took one last squeeze. And walked off to go see how Sapphire was doing. Sitting on a hospital bed. She was cleaned up but still slightly bleeding from the cuts and had bruises on her face. "Wow! Your girlfriend did a great job on giving me an a** beating!"
She said sarcastically. "You bet."
Sapphire…
Everything hurt pretty bad. I mean I won but at what cost. I was still bleeding and all that stuff. They had patched me up slightly with a yellow type of thing that wassemdi stopping the bleeding. Raimy came in I greeted him but it was kind of awkward.
"What do you want?" I asked him curiously. "Oh I'm just here to check on you it looked pretty bad down there." "I'm sure the arena feels a lot worse." I said jokingly. "You bet." "Where's Brian?"
"Well he was fighting and I'm sure he's on his way right now." "So now the real question how long will it take for you to recover?" "I don't know." I responded with some annoyancer in my voice at the doctors who were being quite a bit slow at telling me how long it'll take.
I really had taken for granted Ms. Joy's healing abilities that had even saved me from the brink of death before. Suddenly the double doors to the infirmary busted open. And a pretty boy with bright blonde hair and ethereal green eyes walked in.
He had his hair slightly falling on his face his cheeks were red and he was panting. "I ran as fast as possible what happened!?" "Come sit down and calm down." I said gesturing towards a seat. "I'll take my leave now." He walked out.
He took some deep breaths in and calmly told me what he needed to stay. "So I was in the middle of my fight…"
Flashback from Brian's perspective.
I heard a loud sonic boom go off and almost made my ears ring and a lot of crashes and loud booms.I even got so distracted my opponent landed off a solid punch" But when I heard the crowd go silent that's when I knew something was completely out of order.
I took a small pause. So as soon as I was fighting I went up and saw a bunch of people pale as a ghost and shaking a kid even pissed his pants. Are they even alive after that?"
The kid said still shaking. So I went and looked at the specific arena you were fighting at blood. Everywhere. Cracks in the walls. Everywhere.
I didn't even have to ask the kid what happened there are only two people I know who could possibly even achieve that sort of destruction especially if they weren't trying to kill eachother. I ran to the infirmary in a hurry.
I blitzed past the guards and just walked in.
Sapphire…
After hearing this story I laughed. "Caused you quite the scare, didn't we?" "Of course don't pull anything like that again, please?" "No promises, but I'll try." I said looking at him in the eyes.
