Chapter 1 - Prologue

In our society, young people generally fall into three categories. The first type includes those who are sociable, love to hang out and are adventure enthusiasts. However, they often lack the thrill factor. The second type is constantly torn between decisions, unable to stay alone or be completely comfortable with others. Romantic matters complicate their lives significantly. If they spend even a little time with someone other than their significant other, they face a barrage of questions, which leaves their lives filled with uncertainty and indecision.

The last category consists of those who live in their own world, disconnected from others. They neither mingle with others nor do others try to mingle with them. I belong to this category. I don't have the hassle of wasting time in idle chatter or the complications of indecision. At home, I retreat to my room, indulging in new episodes of shows and savoring my life in solitude.

My name is Sakib, and I navigate the world with a detached curiosity, preferring the company of my favorite anime characters over real-life interactions. My life at university is a predictable routine of lectures and quiet escapes to the library, where I can lose myself in fictional worlds without interruption.

This story begins in the bustling corridors of our college, where a peculiar incident disrupts the usual monotony. It was a typical Monday morning, and I was on my way to room 203 for my economics class. The hallways buzzed with the usual chatter, but there was an unusual tension in the air.

As I stepped into the classroom, I immediately noticed something was off. My classmates were huddled in groups, whispering urgently. The usual jovial atmosphere was replaced with a sense of unease. I took my seat in the back, preferring to stay out of whatever drama was unfolding.

"Did you hear?" one of my classmates whispered to another. "Someone's money got stolen."

I couldn't help but listen in. Apparently, a significant amount of money had been stolen, and suspicions were raised among all. The class representative, Meem, stood at the front, trying to maintain order.

"Everyone, please calm down," Meem said, her voice steady but with a hint of frustration.

"We'll figure this out. If anyone knows anything, please come forward."

Little did I know that day, stepping into room 203, that I'd be dragged into an unexpected mystery involving stolen money, unlikely suspects, and the hidden truths of my classmates. Meem, known for her determination and strong sense of justice, soon found herself overwhelmed by the situation. Despite my usual preference to remain an observer, I felt a strange compulsion to help.

As someone who thrives on observation rather than participation, this was the kind of challenge that suited me perfectly. I had no intention of standing out, but the thrill of the mystery was too tempting to resist. And so, reluctantly, I stepped out of my comfort zone, not realizing how deeply I would get involved in unraveling the secrets buried within our seemingly ordinary university life.
