Chapter 70 - The destruction of the Orc Fleet

Arriving back in Arcadia, Jarvis was briefed on the current situation of the city by one of Kingsley's subordinates. "Your Majesty, I will now give you the report on everything that has transpired in your absence." began Kingsley's Subordinate Vanora. "Refugees from all fronts that needed to be evacuated have been brought back to Arcadia and placed in special locations outside of the city with their basic needs being met. Every day we received tens of thousands of refugees in the Capital with more coming into Lord's Port our major Sea trade city."

"Her highness, Princess Nakiasha Ravara has also provided substantial information on what is going on in the Galaxy alongside the various factions, wars, and a little of the history. That information has been recorded and stored in the Imperial records which you can find on your personal tablet." said Vanora as she handed Jarvis his personnel tablet.

He grabbed the tablet and began scrolling through the data. It detailed information about the factions and wars currently happening beyond their Galaxy. There were numerous civilizations, each with their own culture, political structure, and standings. Some were allies while others were enemies.

He made a mental note to personally meet with Princess Nakiasha as soon as possible to discuss the information she had provided. Her insights were of great value and could potentially shape future strategies for when they go to space.

"Thank you, Vanora. Have we any update on the status of the cannons?" he asked, switching his attention back to the important matter at hand.

"The Construction team has reported that they've successfully installed all the cannons. They are currently running final system checks before they can be operational," Vanora reported.

"Good" replied Jarvis as he continued looking over the data on the tablet. "Once the cannons are operational, we can start targeting the Orc ships. Make sure our commanders on all fronts are notified when we start firing."

Vanora nodded, "Yes, your majesty."

As planned, upon receiving confirmation that the cannons were fully operational, Jarvis had proceeded to the command room which was a building that was constructed to act as the control room for all the cannons. It was tightly guarded and restricted to only high-ranking people within the Arcadian Empire.

Inside the room, Jarvis was met with the dozens of assembled generals who were here to witness the destruction of the Orc fleet. Normally, the most high-ranking members of the Arcadian Empire would be present for such an event, but they were busy elsewhere in the world leading the Arcadia forces against the Orc forces.

Looking over the assembled generals, Jarvis began addressing them. "We're about to launch a counter-offensive unlike any other," he began. "With our cannons ready, we'll cripple their ability to send reinforcements and turn the tide of the war in our favor."

"Our Space Marines have been doing a tremendous job, pushing back Orc forces on multiple fronts," Jarvis continued. "But this... this is just the beginning. Once we neutralize their ships, we will have them on the run. And when that happens, we're not going to give them a chance to regroup. We're going to pursue them relentlessly and reclaim every inch of this world that they've defiled."

The room was silent for a moment, the generals taking in the gravity of his words. Then a murmur of agreement echoed through the room, followed by a few scattered cheers. It was a rallying cry, one that spoke of courage and determination, hope and resilience.

At the same time, the firing of the cannons was also being broadcasted to the frontlines across the world. Every man and woman that was fighting for their survival would see the first step to the end of their war for survival.

Across thousands of miles, across continents and oceans filled with enemy forces, the soldiers from every country tuned into the broadcast. Soldiers huddled around makeshift screens in hastily constructed bunkers and camps.

In the command room, Jarvis took his place at the front of the room before a massive screen displaying a live feed from space. The assembled generals watched as dozens of massive cannons were unveiled.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," Jarvis began calmly. "Fire."

At his command, dozens of massive cannons became active. A blinding light filled the screen as a dozens of kinetic shots hurtled towards the fleet of orc ships orbiting the planet. The ships, unsuspecting and unprepared, were immediately hit by the barrage.

The Orc ships were unshielded which made the Kinetic shots deliver direct damage to the ship's hull and penetrate its armor. As the explosions occurred, the once small Orc fleet that orbited the planet was turned into space debris with some ships even being pulled into the planet's gravitational pull.

Cheers erupted from within the room and all around the world, as the Orc fleet was gone, which prevented them from sending reinforcements down to the surface unless another fleet of Orc ships showed up.

With the Orc fleet now destroyed, Jarvis wanted to send construction drones into space to start scrapping the debris of the destroyed ships to construct an orbital space station.

The previous one was destroyed during the initial invasion of the planet, with all the staff being killed or captured by the Orcs. Their families were already compensated for their deaths and their names would be remembered.

Turning to his generals, he continued, "While we celebrate this victory, we must also remember that our work is far from done. We must continue to press forward until every last Orc is dead."

The generals nodded in agreement, and saluted Jarvis as he left the room. Next, he went to visit both Princess Nakiasha Ravara, and Princess Yuuma.
