Chapter 57 - Progress on the Space Station

The Construction of the Space station which had began a few months ago was nearly completed with only a few small things that needed to be completed.

The Main structure of the station was completed alongside the docking ports for transport ships. Artificial Gravity was active on the station allowing people to walk around the station as if they were on Earth.

Within this massive, silhouetted structure of steel and glass, the hum of machinery echoed continuously. Robots, nimble and tireless, moved methodically in their final tasks.

The central command room, the neural network of the station, stood as a celebration of human innovation. A grand spherical chamber decked with screens that displayed myriad stars and galaxies, each flickering with a life of its own. At its core was the artificial intelligence system - named 'Legion' processed thousands of gigabytes per second to ensure the smooth operation of the station.

Onboard hydroponic gardens were flourishing under the station's artificial sunlight. The fresh scent of greenery combating the omnipresent sterility with a comforting earthiness. The colors were also a welcome addition to the otherwise monotone silver-grey surroundings; vibrant greens, blues and reds making the place feel more homely.

The crew quarters were designed with comfort in mind. Each one was equipped with an all-encompassing window that offered breathtaking views of the cosmos beyond. Beneath silk blankets on linseed-oil wood beds, crew members would fall asleep watching distant stars pass by.

Also added to the station is an orbital refueling station to allow for missions to the moon, Mars, or any other planet within fuel range.

Preparations for public transportation to the space station was to take a few more months, but once done the general public will be able to go to space. The current space station has a capacity of 100k people which Jarvis plans to expand on in the future.

Meanwhile back on the surface, the Arcadian Special forces have succeeded in multiple successful operations to rescue kidnapped Arcadian citizens and gather evidence against those nations involved.

So far they had gathered evidence on the United States, United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Republic of Spain, German Republic, Republic of France, and the Kingdom of Italy. These were just the countries who were involved, additionally there were also Organizations, Companies, and Corporations involved.

Jarvis was gathering a list of all the people who participated in Kidnapping his Citizens and soon planned a massive military operation to show the world what happens when they try and do inhumane experiments on people, especially Arcadian Citizens.

His first target would be the Russian Federation because of it was the first nation found to be conducted experiments on Arcadian Citizens and because originally it was trying to establish good terms with the Arcadian Empire, but after they got involved in the Chinese War of Independence the relations between the two have not been good at all.

Jarvis sat in his office, the glow of the computer screens casting eerie shadows around the room. His mind churned with strategic plans and ensuing consequences.

All the evidence of the experiments were going to be revealed to the general public in a few days. And once that happens there is nothing that will calm the hearts and minds of the Arcadian people who will most likely call for war against these nations.

There was also indications that the Demon Organization was a part of this experiment. They had been able to hide from him thus far but that's only because Jarvis was trying to look for them. But now they were putting ideas into other nations heads to try and create an Artificial magic user to use against the Arcadian Empire.

But no matter what they created, the world had never seen the most powerful magic users in his country. Those people were the elite of the elite who were mainly used on escort missions for high ranking Arcadian diplomats or for guarding the Palace.

The Demon Organization had now caught the attention of Jarvis and he now planned to find them and eradicated them. As if they already knew what he wanted, 4 agents of the Shadow Organization his elite Intelligence gatherer's appeared in front of him.

"All your reports are now leading us to one common enemy," Jarvis began, watching as the images on his computer screen scrolled through profiles of world leaders and shrewd businessmen alike. "The Demon Organization has gone too far this time."

One agent spoke up, his voice barely louder than a whisper, but filled with certainty. "We've managed to locate a likely stronghold of theirs, sir - an abandoned military base in Siberia."

Jarvis glanced at the agent sharply. The Russian Federation and now this. He felt the flame of vengeance in his heart ignite further as he considered his options.

"Prepare our forces. We will strike swiftly and without mercy," Jarvis ordered, his voice echoing through the otherwise silent room.

The agents nodded in sync before they vanished as abruptly as they arrived.

Meanwhile, at the bustling control center of the newly constructed space station, technicians kept an eye on multiple screens, monitoring every function and anomaly that arose. The station's AI, Legion, was operating at peak efficiency despite this being its first real test run. The artificial gravity kept everything grounded in a semblance of normality that was hard to replicate in space.

The stations crew carried out their daily task assisted by Robots who made repairs and maintenance relatively easy. Their assignment of building the station was mainly completed and now they were preparing for their next assignment which was to build a base on the Moon.

Building a base on the moon will allow for deep space operations and a surveillance post that could monitor any anomalies within the sol system. It could also serve as launch point for ship's and new resources could possibly be found also.

In a few years living in space would be the next big thing that people would hope to do.
