Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 (A Trial Troupe)

The feminine voice despite being cold, was melodious. Gale noticed that people were gathering. Each wearing high tech body armor. Some with gray and green as the base color scheme. The majority of the armor being worn was black. Gale wondered if they were adventures or something similar.

The homicidal Dwarf seemed to realize something. Evident when he said, "I am the personal subordinate of the crown prince and rightful heir. Laying a finger on me is an affront to the royal family"!

The woman who spoke before retorted, "The rightful heir you say... HAHAHA, did the queen come out of her mourning and declare her intention to over turn the rule of matriarchal succession...Or has he somehow changed from a guy to a woman"? She was tall with flowing raven black hair. The woman had on a smokey gray and black women's skirt and suit ansamble and a white undershirt. All of it barely keeping her figure contained. She wasn't hiding the fact that she wanted the dwarf to die. Gale believed that if she could get her hands on him, she'd take out the prince as well. For a moment she looked at Gale and it was like she had seen him before. Almost like looking at an acquaintance one hasn't seen for a long time. Just as quickly as she had looked at him. The woman turned her head to look at a red headed girl with bandages covering her left eye. Even Gale could see that the wound was recent. "Yora, is he the one who held you down while the pig prince tore out your eye"?

'Son of ahhh...The hell, how much bad karma can one guy collect', he wondered as he felt sorry for whoever had raised him. The girl gave a nod, but her confirmation wasn't necessary. "You half-elf, should feel honored to have the prince take notice of you and lovingly helped remove that filthy brown eye that besmirched that blue one of yours"! The dwarf yelled. It was obvious that madness and decadence ran rampant through the princes' camp.

The woman who had raven black hair also had pointed ears that were more pronounced. Flicked her wrist and a red line appeared through the dwarfs center. The wondering question of what had happened to him was the last expression he'd ever have as he died an ignoble death. Men in blue and silver uniforms were present. After the execution, the most senior of the two who had a bald head said, "Convicted criminal Vlac Cos has been executed under the hanious crimes and political corruption act. Association leader Lifana Oaks, the Capital Doctrine Enforcement Group thanks you for your service".

The woman gave a nod and left the clean up to others. Then she turned to Gale, who had obtained a healthy fear of an elven woman. "Anyone who can make an enemy out of the pig prince is alright by me... I'd very much like to hear your tale". Her tone of voice left no room for debate.

Gale found himself sitting in a large room at the top floor of a five story building. The room had a half moon sofa situated to face the side of the room with large Bay windows with an attached sliding glass door that led to a patio. In front of the windows was a large red wooden desk. On top of the desk were stacks of papers. Between the sofa and desk, were a tea table with a solid wooden frame and chrome like glass top and a single person black leather recliner.

Gale was sitting in the middle of the half moon sofa. A cup of tea had been placed in front of him. The aroma of cherry hibiscus rose into the air. It was one of his top ten favorites. Sitting opposite of him was the raven black haired elf. She gave off an ethereal kind of beauty. Much different from her previous cold blooded display from before. Standing behind her off to her right was the red haired half-elf from before. Despite the calm face, he got a sense that she was afraid to be alone with or even near men. After what the homicidal Dwarf said, it was natural to put the pieces together in order to know what happened.

"Go ahead, no need to be polite", Lifana Oaks said with a polite smile. Gale lifted his cup and took a sip. The cherry hibiscus flavor flooded his taste buds. He made an involuntary 'mmm', sound. "Glad to see you're enjoying it. Yora's specialty is the blush lotus tea".

"Blush Lotus, so that's what you call this tea in this world", Gale said deciding not to follow the common 'Hide the Fact That I Am Another Worlder', Troupe.

Both women looked to each other in shock. "Did the Empress summon you", Lifana asked without hiding the shock that she felt.

"Nope, it was the pig man. It was me and six other girls", Gale said without hiding a single thing.

"You know what his intentions are", Yona said with a disgusted and grave expression.

Lifana was silent for a moment. She then gave an acknowledgement of the fact that she had the same dispicable thought. "No, this wasn't a summon out of necessity. Only out of his lustful desire", she replied after some thought. "Further more, seven summoned is unheard of. The most ever recorded was four"!

"Yeah, the message I got from Gaia mentioned only two of us were supposed to be summoned", Gale replied while inwardly smiling as he took in their shocked expressions. 'Divine message bomb drop Troupe, couldn't resist', he thought to himself.

"H...H... How, how do you get the messages", Lifana asked with a stutter. Gale kinda thought it was cute. He took out his status checker and displayed the main screen. He clicked on the message tab and like being hit with divine pressure, Lifana and Yona both were affected by the realization that a mortal had received a direct message, from the goddess of nature no less. "I don't know what to say or think about this anymore". So much information had been thrown out there.

While both women were digesting the information, Gale looked down at the Status Checker with an arched eyebrow.

He tapped on the rewards tab without looking at the rest and an image of a golden berry with what appeared to be the ♾️ symbol showed up on the surface of the fruit. The discription read,

Thinking back to his first message, there were hints to him going to have to face a trial. 'So, that's what it is...Well, I obviously don't need it. But...', he thought to himself glancing at Yona. He tapped on the image and out of thin air, a cheery wood polished box appeared on the table in front of him. "Wait, where did that box come from"? Lifana about jumped out of her seat. She knew for a fact that he didn't have a storage device on him.

He just held up his status checker. "It was sent to me by the Goddess. A Reward of sorts". He picked up the box and tossed it to Yona. "You'll probably get more use out of it than I will".
