Chapter 86 - 86. A Dream

We watched the carriage drive off miserably from our gate and Elian doesn't say anything, simply taking languid steps inside the estate grounds. I fumbled my steps after him, hopping on my feet. 'Thanks', I grinned and poked his arm but he doesn't reply, only staring at me witheringly. I gulped and quietly followed him into the house. He doesn't dare say anything else but the simple click-clack of our footsteps filled the air and I couldn't break through it.
