"Adiano?" The smooth timbre of his voice carries over and Adian's name rolls off heavily from his tongue. He looks at me as though he recognizes me and with some sort of relief upon seeing me. He looks elated.
"Huh?" I stutter, getting up straight. There is a crowd still weaving around us and I get pushed on the shoulder as a stranger walks past by. But for some strange reason, my eyes are stuck on the stranger in front of me, and I am unable to tear them off. His face, the corners of his lips wrinkle as he smiles at me belatedly.
"Adiano! How are you?" He repeats, grabbing onto my arm. I jump, wary of his touch, and shake his hand off immediately and I notice that he is perturbed by my reaction. The shadow of a scowl passes across his features but disappears quickly.
