Elian gapes at me, his jaw has fallen down on the ground hitting it with a cracking sound. Well, not literally but that's how I imagine it when I see the look on his face. He didn't expect me to say it and I guess it's safe to assume that.
"Why? Are you going to do it?" I taunt when I turn to him and he looks up at me with steel eyes. "Did you want to?" I ask, nudging him towards losing his temper.
"What are you saying?" He looks away swiftly, dismissive of the entire scenario as he did so.
Did he really want to agree to the invitation?
I gulp, a churn of fear growing in my stomach. I don't like how I am feeling right now.
"You can't do it." I exclaim in the spur of the moment. Elian looks back at me, his eyebrows shifting and I continue with my outburst, "You better not do it because I don't want it."
