Chapter 14 - Something crazy

•Nia's POV

"Emma didn't you just break up with your boyfriend ?" I was flabbergasted "Robin is a lot older than you and its just that-"

"Nia, your being a bit of a downer. I met someone and I like him. He's already seen me at my best and at my drunk" she laughed lightly at her joke "If we regret it tomorrow then that's okay and we'll figure it out, but tonight...we're gonna just enjoy it." she was bold.

"Emma I just-" Emma chewed a big bite of the burger and held a hand up over my mouth.

"If I wake up shit faced-" she paused for another bite and covered her mouth as she continued to talk and chew "he promished he'd be a gemt-al mam about it. If I don't want it in the morning, we won't date anymore." she had already eaten most of the burger.

She stood up and walked to the door pushing Robin out of the room "Bye see you in the morning!" Just like that she was gone.

I turned to Ronan to see if that really happened

"Did she just?" I laughed a bit as I spoke "She announced she had a boyfriend, who she just met, ate my food, acknowledged my disapproval, and then left with him" I laughed in disbelief "She gets more and more like her sister every day."

I sat down and shook my head and Ronan looked at me with a gentle expression.

"Shes a grown woman. She doesn't have to listen to you, but she also didn't have to hear you out when gave her warnings and advice either" He smiled "Thats a response that proves that she is adult enough to understand her choice and that its an important one...You did your best to warn her, but now, you have to trust her."

That was so thoughtful I couldn't help but relax. "Do you have a daughter?" I felt my expression soften.

"Yes" he sighed "she was adopted when we were the ripe old age of 25. She was 10. Now she's 17. Its been rough, we have to give her whatever freedom she needs but she's still a kid. Because of the divorce she has two homes. My wife and I share custody and sometimes our rules conflict" he sipped his coffee.

"Ex-wife" I corrected "I uhm... I appreciate your parenting advice..." I couldn't help but laugh awkwardly. Why was I so defensive? I didn't need to correct him?

"I'm not her mother, I can't really take credit for anything that she does. I got her when she was 16." I felt so bad. "I'm not good at being a parent. She's an adult so I don't have to be anymore, but... I can't just turn off the way I feel about her. I'm the only family she has. I have to be a friend, a sister, and a mother." I plopped down on the bed.

Ronan stood up and walked towards me "That sounds exhausting... You should take a break." He meekly smiled and shrugged "She's gonna do what she wants. What do you want to do?"

"I want" hmmm that was a hard question "Something crazy that I can regret tomorrow but enjoy tonight?" I sat up and looked at him in the eye.

"Like if I were to?..." his voice trailed off and he leaned in towards me. "Kiss..."I whined "I don't think I'll regret this choice, as long as your still here in the morning." I stood and met his lips gently. He was slow at first but as he sat on the bed, his lips pressed me back against the headboard. I pulled away for air "Ronan..." I whimpered between gasps "P-please...be..gentle.." His eyes hovered in front of mine and heat was radiating from his chest.

"Maybe ..." his confidence seemed to waver and there was doubt in his face "Look if this is too much we can just have some coffee and watch a movie or something."

I sat up and pressed myself lightly against him "Ronan can't we do both?" I yawned "You, then a movie and coffee?" I pleaded. He smiled "Yes. That sounds nice."

With a new rush of courage I kissed him roughly and pressed against him forcefully. When he reacted it was like ecstasy. Once we began every move I made he countered with exactly the right movement. I quickly melted into his every touch.

Authors Note:

I don't think I have any steady readers yet, but I have gone back and edited the last three chapters. The one with the largest amounts of editing was the Robin and Emma date, I was tired when I wrote the last three so they were disappointing to say the least, and while I made the content easier to understand and more realistic I did not change what they were about. Its slow right now but set up are. I have to make sure you all have enough information about the characters to relate before we get into the thick juicy plot. I hope you understand and continue to read my work. Thank you and I appreciate all of you.
