Even though Jani's tone sounded normal, it seemed to Dana that it made his heart feel as if it were falling down to his feet. Dana swallowed hard. He turned his gaze forward. He couldn't look Jani's eyes that seemed to be judging him.
"Sorry," said Jani.
Dana frowned then turned to the side and shook his head. Jani bowed her head. The girl was staring at the end of the table which seemed more attractive than Dana. Jani was annoyed with herself for not being able to keep her mouth properly.
"You don't have to apologize because you didn't do anything wrong, Honey!" Dana tightened his grip on her hands as if channeling strength to Jani.
