Jani woke up from her sleep. She blinked playfully then narrowed her eyes. The girl glanced at the open window of her room. The sky outside had turned dark. Jani was too tired to fall asleep on the sofa in her room reading a book. The girl got out of bed.
Her body felt achy because of her sleeping position curled up like a baby fetus while hugging her book. Jani stretched her body that felt like it was going to break. The girl yawned and rubbed her eyes. Her eyes darted around the room. She took a deep breath.
"Daddy didn't wake me up," she mumbled.
