"I'm worried if something bad happens again. What should we do? I mean, I really didn't expect anything bad to happen. But if it did, I don't feel like I'll be able to protect this baby anymore like I used to," answered Rose.
Edward hugged Rose gently. The man's hand touched Rose's back, caressing it very gently, giving Rose the comfort she needed right now to get rid of all her worries. "I'll take care of you. I've promised you many times. I'll protect you. I'll be by your side. I'm trying not to be weak anymore. You trust me, Rose?" Edward asked in a very soft voice.
Rose looked into the gray eyes of the man who was hugging her. The woman exhaled then. Even though Rose chose to trust Edward, worrying about the baby in Rose's stomach seemed to make her weaker than before. As if whatever Edward would do later, Rose wasn't sure that she could protect the baby in her stomach right now.
