"Is this a coincidence or are you really this diligent?" asked a man who had just come out of his room. The man's green eyes stared at another man who was currently busy behind the kitchen table. There was no answer there which made the blue eyed man a little confused.
"Sit there. Your breakfast will be ready soon," said the man behind the kitchen table.
Since morning, the gray-eyed man has been busy behind the kitchen table preparing breakfasts that are not just for himself. Now, a middle-aged woman had stepped out of the room after dressing so neatly this early in the morning.
"Is Edward cooking again?" she asked the man sitting on the chair. The man nodded slowly in response.
"Then, I just have to wait," the woman said with her perfect smile. Then she took a seat at the dining table right in front of his son.
"Is dad still not home? Do I really have to go for a meeting? Ah, I'm really sick of all those boring meetings," the man complained somewhat annoyed.
"Stop complaining, Chris. You have to be diligent Edward, even though he doesn't want to take care of the company, he still wants to cook good food for us," the woman said very cheerfully.
After all the breakfast he made had been cooked, Edward signaled to several servants who were in his house to bring all the food he had cooked to the dining table. After that, the man took off the apron he was wearing and walked towards the dining table.
"What made you come back so early and cook? Did something happen?" asked Edward's mother.
"I just wanted to do it. It's been a long time I haven't seen you guys," Edward replied casually while enjoying the garlic bread he had made.
"Did you suddenly change your mind and want to take my place in the office?" Chris asked suddenly and got a scary look from his mother.
"I heard from dad that Chris has a meeting today," Edward told his mother. The woman nodded slowly in response.
"Your father again asked the company to replace the interior company we worked with before. You certainly knew very well, that your father wanted everything perfect. And he replaced it. Asked Chris to find the best company," explained Edward's mother. The gray-eyed man was now nodding his head after getting his mother's explanation.
"I'm going to the meeting," Edward said suddenly getting a surprised look from his mother and a happy smile from Chris.
"You're really going to do it? Thank you, Edward. You're the best brother ever," said Chris very happily.
"But why? Did something happen? Do you need more money?" asked the woman in front of Edward.
"I just wanted to help. Besides, it's been a long time since I last helped the company. I'm a little tired of being in a restaurant doing everything," Edward replied with a flat smile.
"You should really close the restaurant. Your father's property business is far more profitable than yours," said Maria, Edward's mother, while eating her garlic bread again.
"Yes. What mom said is true. You should be more helpful at the company," said Chris again.
"Did mother give him heavy work? It seems, Chris was really depressed all this time working in the office," Edward said with a crisp laugh.
"Of course. He has to attend many meetings and employ all his strength while you are busy running the restaurant," said Maria.
"Okay. I'll get ready. Isn't the meeting going to be in a bit?"

"Many say that today the eldest son of the owner of Eflic will directly intervene in this meeting," said Mia while handing a bottle of water to Rose.
"Will the eldest son be scary? Why does everyone in this room keep talking about him," Rose asked. Mia positioned herself to sit next to Rose and took a deep breath before finally speaking again.
"Mr. Smith's eldest son is very handsome but also very picky. If a company doesn't meet his criteria, he will stop the meeting and leave without a word. That means, the company has no hope of working with Eflic," Mia replied.
Rose sighed and looked at her best friend and secretary. "My father really wants to kill me with this tough negotiation job. Why did he have to send me to this meeting?"
Mia was already smiling and trying to calm Rose down. "This morning you got breakfast from Eflic, that means something good right? Maybe someone at Eflic knows you," Mia said trying to encourage Rose.
"Still. My father's company isn't that big even though we get a lot of projects. Besides, the guy doesn't know how we try to get all of their projects," said Rose.
The woman rose from her chair and sighed. Anger was really haunting her right now and it made Rose not at all calm. Rose decided to go to the toilet when her cell phone suddenly rang and showed Edward's name there.
"Why is this annoying guy again?!"
Rose decided to reject the call and looked back at the mirror in front of her. The woman tidied up her appearance a little because she felt that the make-up she was wearing was slightly reduced because previously the woman was busy taking care of all the documents given by Mia this morning.
"Okay. Now it's perfect," said Rose, smiling sweetly at her own reflection in the mirror. The make-up that the woman was wearing was a little more visible than before. And again the phone still shows the same name as before.
"This man is a complete nuisance," said Rose irritably. After looking in the mirror one last time, Rose stepped out of the toilet. However, just as the woman walked out two steps, she was stopped by someone.
"Why don't you pick up my phone, Roseane?" asked the voice of the man standing right in front of Rose at this time.
"What are you doing here? Are you out of your mind following me to the office?" asked Rose in an annoyed tone.
"So this is your father's office? So I met the right person, right?"
Suddenly Mia had given a sign behind Edward's body very clearly but Rose did not understand at all the meaning of the sign that was given by Mia just now.
"Mr. Smith, the meeting is about to start," said a man from inside the meeting room. Edward nodded. Before completely disappearing from Rose's presence, the man touched the woman's shoulder and smiled sweetly.
"See you in the meeting room, Roseane."
