"You want me to work together with you by providing information only for you and no one else? And if I do this, you'll provide me a title in the future and a lavish life?" Lordress Alma asked. She wanted to be sure that she heard this right.
"That's what I said." Vienna says.
Lordress Alma blows out a breath, she couldn't help but think that these ladies must be insane. "I've never thought I'd get such a ridiculous offer." She mutters.
Vienna knew that most would never accept her offer, especially since it involved taking down the Imperial Family. But....
"I accept your offer." Lordress Alma says with a smirk.
That was something she did not need to worry about when it came to this person.
At the same time Lordress Alma had her own thoughts, this will be interesting. Is what she was thinking.
A few hours of getting some information from Lordress Alma, Vienna and Baiyu were already heading out the tea shop. "That went well." Baiyu says as they made their way back to the carriage.
Vienna had to admit that the meeting with the Information Guild was a success, but even so this was still not enough manpower. The Forbidden Sect who specializes in weaponry was their next ticket to succeeding. Once they are on their side Vienna had more things to do, like recruiting an army for her brother to command. Getting rid of the corrupted Kalvicas, Rebelling against the Royal Family, and taking the throne is not going to be easy without a strong backing.
On the return home the sisters were greeted by an unexpected guest.
When they entered the courtyard the first thing they noticed was a carriage with an ensemble pf a crow on the sides. They both glanced at each other as they entered the grand meeting room where their father sat in his chair against the wall. A man they never met before sat on one side holding a cup. "My daughters have returned." Their father says waving them over.
They both bow their heads before crouching to their knees across from that man. "It's a pleasure to meet such beautiful ladies. And I gather the cute one is your youngest daughter?" The man asked his gaze lingering on Baiyu for a bit longer than usual.
Their father proudly smiles, "actually Baiyu is my eldest. She's constantly mistaken as the youngest because of her looks." He says proudly.
Vienna sipped quietly on the drink given to her, she peeked over her drink at the man across from them, she wasn't sure why this situation seemed familiar but something didn't sit well with her about this man. For one, he's been leering at Baiyu since he saw her, for two her father looked way too happy.
"Father, who is our guest?" Baiyu asked, Vienna can tell that she looked uncomfortable under the man's gaze.
"Ah yes, this here is State Advisor, Wilson Amiya. He's well known for being very competent." Their father says excitedly. A sense of dread washed over Vienna as that name was one she could not forget.
It's him!
He's one of the people responsible for Baiyu's death, he may not be the mastermind but she knew he had to have been involved. That wasn't the only thing that, this man would also become Baiyu's Husband in the future. Vienna clenches the cup in her hand, she would rather die than let that happen. This guy is bad news.
After the meeting, Vienna leaves the meeting room to head to her study, "Sister! Wait a second!" Baiyu calls chasing after her.
Vienna stops, "Sister Baiyu, why do you follow me?" She asked glancing back at her.
Baiyu had a worried expression on her face, "Sister, I couldn't help but notice you go pale once dad mentioned that guys name. Do you perhaps know him from the past?" She asked.
Right. That's right. She wasn't alone, she didn't have to do this alone.
"Yeah, let's talk about it in private." She tells Baiyu as the two of them went to Vienna's study together.
When they entered Maru was there together with Ania, they seemed to be getting along better than Vienna had expected, "what are you two doing here?" She asked with a questioning stare.
Ania's cheek was flushed and Maru had a hand flat on the wall by Ania's head, "Ah mistress!" She looked startled by their arrival.
"Oho, what's this?" Baiyu asked with her hand halfway hiding a teasing smirk.
"It's not what you think. I went too far with Sir Maru and he got upset with me." Ania explains fiddling with her hands and refusing to meet their gaze.
"So Ania was teasing Maru too much and made him upset. How cute can you two be?" Baiyu asked as she sat down in a chair.
"Let's not worry about it, you two are dismissed." Vienna tells them. She needed to tell Baiyu about the guest from earlier.
