"What are you two doing here?" Lady Baiyu asked once she opened her bedroom door, she was facing her big brother, Seno; and her little sister's servant, Ania. Seno pushes past her into the bedroom, then plops down on a nearby sofa.
"You'll understand once you read the letter." He says propping his legs on the end table in front of the chair and holding out a piece of paper for her to read. She snatches it from it and read the contents of the letter:
My dearest Siblings,
It's been awhile right? I'm not sure if you are still upset about the many differences between our parents and yourselves. But it's not them who need you right now. Now that I'm sixteen, I learned about what has been really going on and I want us to work together. The Kalvica's are getting too corrupted and we need to clean out the trash. If you're willing to work with me, please come back home.
I'll tell you the rest once you've returned home. Together we will destroy anyone who's in our way.
From your dearest little sister,
Vienna
"Woah, is this for real? Our little sister sounds as though she really grew up." Baiyu says handing the letter back over to Ania.
"Right? I don't know about you, but I'm quite curious to see what our dear baby sister has up her sleeves." Seno says with a smirk.
Baiyu plops down on the chair across from Seno and Ania was directed to make them tea. Baiyu hadn't expected to see her little brother in a long time, he seemed the same as usual. "I guess you're not the only one who wants to see how sister is doing. How much time do we have?" Baiyu asked folding her arms.
"Mistress wanted us back in six days. It's already been four. Amerra is at least a three day ride from here." Ania answered as she sits a platter of tea on the small table before them. That's true, if they couldn't find a faster traveling method, she wonder what would happen? If anything, their sister created a time limit for a reason.
"Hmm, I think I have a solution." Seno says smiling dangerously at Baiyu.
Baiyu flinched and sits back, she already knew what he referred to. But the thought he had in mind was something she hated a lot. "I see, so that's how it's gonna be." Baiyu mutters.
"It is the only way, And you're the only one who can do it. It strains you a little bit. But it's the fastest method." Seno says folding his fingers together as he leans forward. Just a little bit? Baiyu groans as she covers her upper face in frustration. This asshole!
"Fine. You're right, if I use my Quick Pace, we'll get back in at least a day and a half." She agreed. Ugh, but carrying that oaf will put a lot of strain on her muscles.
A Day and A Half Later
Vienna sat in the sitting area waiting for her siblings to return after receiving word from Ania that they wouldn't be long getting to Amerra. If it will be as fast as they say, that means Seno must have talked Baiyu into using Quick Pace. That brother of hers is a real demon.
"Vienna, are you aware that your brother and sister is coming here?" Her mother asked as she enters the sitting room.
"Yes I do." Vienna answers as her mother sits across from her with a suspicious stare.
"What are you up to? I noticed it ever since you've woken up, but you are acting different." She points out.
Well, it's not like she hadn't thought about it. But it seems her mother is sharper than she looks. It's kind of surprising that it wasn't her father's keen eye that pointed out this obvious change. Not like she would tell them the truth. That she was reincarnated and now she had a different thought process. She had a sinking feeling that her parents wouldn't believe her, Which is why she was getting the twins involved.
They knew her since she was a child, and if she told them the truth. She's certain they'll believe her and work beside her to take out all the corrupted trash amongst not only the Kalvica's but the Imperial Court.
The door opened and Ania entered with two others,
"You made it!" Vienna says happily.
Seno grins at his little sister, "of course we made it. I figured something this interesting shouldn't be missed." He says glancing over to where their mother sat.
Those two were not on speaking terms, but Vienna couldn't have that. after all it was Brother Seno who couldn't handle mother's death the most. Ania helped Baiyu over to the sofa, she looked incredibly exhausted from the trip. "I think Sister Baiyu should get some rest. Mother, will you take her to her room?" Vienna asked.
Their mother stands, "sure sweetie, let me know if you need anything else." She says as she gather Baiyu and leaves. "Ignores me as always." Seno says as he leans back.
Vienna turns to him, "it's not like you said anything to her either." She tells him with a sigh. Honestly, those two are so stubborn.
He scoffs at this, the look on his face told her that he knew she was right. Well, for now the matter can wait. "Brother." She says quietly.
"When Sister Baiyu recovers, there's something I need you guys to know." Vienna says.
Seno stares at her, it was as though he was trying to figure her out. It was good that he didn't have to wait long. "Alright, I guess I can wait until then."
